• Review of Tender documents, raising RFI’s if any contradictions or missing information
• Submission of material submittals and shop drawings as per the planned schedules according to the project specifications and contract drawings.
• Floating enquiries to all Mechanical Equipment’s dealers and other first & second fix items required for MEP services.
• Making Technical & Commercial Comparisons for offers evaluation process during finalization.
• Daily meetings with suppliers, negotiations & striking the deal, finalization of contracts and issue letter of intent to suppliers.
• Consultant meetings to obtain material submittals and shop drawings approval.
• Support and involvement in reviewing all shop drawings until it’s approved.
• Coordination with operations, planning and commercial departments when appropriate.
• Ensure that the mechanical designs are coordinated with the structures, architectural & other disciplines to ensure that it is within the standards of local & international best practices.
• Ensure procurement and work force for the job requirement are in line with the project program by scheduling the MRV’s and assigning the daily agenda of works at site.
• Performing heat load calculations, designing HVAC/R systems, preparing quantity take off and selection of efficient products (Chillers, Condenser, AHU, FCU, Compressor, Primary & Secondary Pumps, Valves etc. as per the load requirement.)
• Designing HVAC & Piping (shop drawing) layout for Consultant /Client approval.
• Preparing Ducting & Piping quantity for estimation.
• Preparing Techno-commercials and user guides for the selected systems.
• Troubleshooting various failure conditions in HVAC/R systems.
• Making regular onsite visits and monitoring the progress of the works. (testing, commissioning and handover)
• Preparing daily logs and reports of all the inspections made works executed, incomplete works etc.
• Supervising the import and exports of the HVAC/R components.
Went through a great transformation from a mediocre graduate to a much better professional in terms of practical and theoretical knowledge. I have faced many challenges throughout my course period. Finally, had a great time with my batch mates in engaging with them and exchanging ideas.
Had a enormous effect on my career and transition in my character personally. Faced many challenges and learned to overcome them through struggles. Practical sessions in the labs helped me to grow my passion towards my stream. I am grateful to my friends who encouraged me whatever i stepped into.
Spent almost my lifetme at this school. This school has taught to live everything for what i have become today. Living in dubai was so special for me and getting to know the cultures of various people and gelling together as a family. This school encourged me in taking up bold decisions which changed my life completely.
