Pastry, sweets & Bakery
Manage and control the showroom & outdoor catering services for the client to agree specification and to agree performance, quality and financial targets.
Outdoor Catering :
Produce all food services to the agreed client standard through the catering team.
Manage the quality and hygiene of the food cycle from preparation through to delivery.
Actively seek and identify opportunities for business growth within the contract and external market.
‘Walk the floor’ during service periods to ensure that excellent levels of service are being delivered to the customers.
Responsible for managing all aspect of the catering in order to provide high quality of catering and service.
Control all costs such as labor, expenses, cash purchases as agreed with my line manager.
Assist in planning and scheduling catering orders with clients and team members; using passion for food and creativity to develop attractive menus to meet specific client needs
Implement catering functions with hands-on involvement and supervise the activities of food service personnel to ensure accurate/detailed on time deliveries; and follow through with clients and customers for the utmost satisfaction level
Responsible for set up at catering functions and if need be serve food and beverage.
Maintain training records for all staff, ensuring that individual needs are recognized and met either through on or off job training.
Ensure that all employees project a positive, approachable, friendly and professional image.
Possessing excellent interpersonal, supervisory and customer service skills with experience in a leadership role.
Attend Company Training Courses and District Meetings as requested
Plan and control holidays within the operation to ‘self cover’ where practicable
Prepares and presents catering forecasts and reports as required.
Responsible for cleanliness of catering areas and equipment
Showroom Duties :
Responsible for preparing and displaying bakery items
Perform the day-to-day operations that keep the bakery functioning
Execute tasks ranging from employee development and budgeting, to sales management and workplace safety.
Delivering customer service, processing invoices, coordinating orders with outside vendors, and stocking shelves and cases with products
Responsible for the overall performance of the bakery department. In addition to managing the daily output and display of bakery products
Reducing costs, hiring and training new employees, monitoring product quality and consistency, tracking inventory and managing the bakery's budge
