I am working as a Site Manager for High Voltage Cables up to 132kV for SIEMENS Arabia Limited. My responsibilities includes.
• Leading and Supporting the team includes Safety engineer, Civil engineer, Electrical engineer, Cable jointing team & Cable pulling team.
• Managing site activities including electrical and civil RFIs & RMIs approval, maintain all types of cables work up to 132kV.
• Maintaining safe working practices.
• Knowledge of craft skills (jointing). Use of hand tools and techniques appropriate to trade.
• Keen knowledge of DC and AC electrical supplies, transformer principles, the fundamentals of circuit protection and earthing arrangements.
• Working on Single line, schematic diagrams.
• At home in the use of Electrical Test Instruments to verify/ test electrical insulation / continuity etc.
• Diagnoses cable fault location.
• Conduct cable and cable joint / termination testing.
• Managing Mechanical breakdown & inspection of faulted cables, cable joints or cable terminations.
• Carry out assessment of Cable condition prior to splicing (e.g. moisture content, insulation condition)
• Road and trackside cable infrastructure surveys / inspections and to prepare and submit reports accordingly.
• Managing the installation of road and trackside HV and Pilot Cables and associated infrastructure.
• Focusing on the implementation of EHS ( Environment, Health & Safety) and ensure to have zero LTI during the project execution.
• Continuous monitoring of Risks, bi-weekly to analysis current risk situation and applying measure to avoid or decreases the probability of risk through proper documentation.
• Optimized performance of the WAN network consisting of Cisco 4500/5500 switches by configuring VLANs.
• Termination and Configuration of Cable links for WAN connectivity.
• Have experience in installation and Testing of dedicated Internet lines provided to the subscribers.
I have completed my BS Telecommunication Engineering, from the reputable University of South Asia, Lahore, Pakistan
