In this role as a global project manager I am responsible of delivering multiple projects on time and on budget- communicating with various lighting industries to blue chip companies, ensuring I understand their requirements and delivering their product with confidence and efficiency.
In a short space of time, I now have a second role where I am the global support officer for project managers with regards to the software used by the company for reporting their projects. I ensure all projects are documented and accurate in order for the top level management to confidently predict the outlook of the company and remain competitive.
Additional to these roles I host a weekly meeting for all project managers globally to present their projects to the steering committee- my role in this is to ensure all figures and timelines are accurate in the software before they are released to present in front of the steering committee.
Due to the global nature of my roles I work one week a month in the headquarters in Austria which helps me report to the top level management personally.
In this role as a clerical officer, I was responsible of transactions being made globally.
In a very short space of time after beginning this role, I was able to work on multiple tasks - these included being the main verifier of payments being handled in offices abroad such as India, and I had to ensure all payments were completed in a certain timeframe as well as keeping track of the other workloads being allocated to me.
As well as perfecting my communication skills, I also gained clearance to handle payments from solicitors - these are deemed as high priority transactions. Due to the significance and importance of these payments, security numbers were allocated by RBS which only hand-picked employees had the authority to deal with. Dealing with these high priority payments enabled me to increase self-professionalism and allowed me to practice the longevity of my concentration levels.
Known as "Field Marketing Agency of the Year", my role in the organisation was to raise awareness of premium electrical goods to consumers visiting established electrical stores such as PC World and Currys. My aim was to increase profits of particular brands of laptops and to ensure the consumer got full satisfaction and understanding of the product - whilst working towards fulfilling company targets. Self-motivation was a key necessity for this job, and this skill has aided me to increase self-confidence and allowed me to satisfy both staff and customers.
I gained individual skills which were extremely useful whilst working for Gekko; an example of such skill would be self-motivation and determination to maintain highly consistent and excellent performance throughout product campaign periods. Also, to ensure I was prepared and organised for the role at Gekko, I researched technical knowledge related to promoting new product, therefore enabling me to be prepared and well informed beforehand, which led to an increase in my confidence as it ensured that the products I promoted led to good customer satisfaction and increased revenue for organisations of which I had the pleasure of working for.
Along with enjoying challenging teamwork, I adapted well in order to work on my own initiative and demonstrate high levels of motivation, determination and organisational skills to acclimatise to these new situations.
