• Supporting the development of project management capabilities within the business.
• Supporting, performing and leading the development of proposals to tenders and project management.
• Managing the tender project proposals from start to close-out in order to ensure they are delivered in a profitable manner, complete, on time with the required quality. The responsibilities include, among others:
o Developing technical proposals in English and Arabic.
o Collating standard documentation in response to requests to tender and maintaining in a database for quick access.
o Reviewing and assessing technologies and new approaches. To develop new ideas for the improvement of the works.
o Ensuring the quality of the tender and the works.
o Performing assessment of the needs for projects implementation.
o Developing the project specific documentations (technical and administrative) and Developing work implementation plans and estimating the needed resources.
o Assisting in preparing the overall project schedule and the implementation of cost models to aid pricing decisions.
o Ensuring risks and appropriate contingency actions are identified and recorded.
o Developing specific Environmental Management Plans, Contingency Plans and Emergency Plans.
o Assisting in reviewing project implementation and developing “lessons learned” for each reviewed project.
• Providing expert technical advice and assist peers and subordinates on technical issues related to Solid Waste Management such as:
- Recycling Systems (i.e. MRFs)
- Transfer Station
- Compost Plant
- Waste-To-Energy
- Waste Water Treatment Solutions
- Sanitary Landfills
- Solid Waste Collection
• Assisting in the procurement of waste management services and contracts for the collection and disposal of waste by preparing processes and engineering designs, specifications, Innovative technology, tender documents, and contract documents related to integrated waste management facilities and services.
• Assisting the Technical & Business Development Director in supervising all issues related to planning, project proposals, projects under preparation, and on-going projects.
• Assisting in site supervision, project reviews and contract management.
• Monitoring and evaluating operational projects: Cooperating with HSE and QA/QC departments to ensure that all activities are in compliance with international standards (i.e. OHSA 140001; ISO 9001).
• Developing a Lebanese certification system for buildings that adopt environmental parameters.
• Developing the different chapters of the certification system in collaboration with the French reference for environmental quality of buildings (Référentiel pour la qualité environnemental des bâtiments de la marque NF Bâtiments tertiaires- Démarche HQE).
• Integrating the HQE reference with the laws and regulations of the Lebanese government in the development of the different chapters.
• Identifying and promoting procedures, methods and solutions for the design, planning, construction and utilization of the new buildings that are integrated in the different chapters of the system
• Developing the process, which includes the different documentations, steps and procedures to be followed as part of the certification system.
