In Finance Data Mart project It has millions of data in staging table. We have to analyze the data in the cube for different fiscal year like Historical, Present, Budget and Forecast. By analyzing data we tend to do the business in its financial domain. And we help our customer to understand the business in broader prospectus.
Responsibilities:
•Involved in designing the Test Cases using Functional Specifications.
•Involved in white box testing also where I debugged error and helped developer to fix the issue in minimum time frame.
•Peer reviewed the Test Cases and made recommendations.
•Designed, Created and executed manual Test Cases.
•Conducted extensive manual Black Box testing to better understand the functionality of the Application.
•Test Environment Setup and Performed the Functional and Regression Testing
•Detecting bugs, classifying them based on the severity, and documenting them.
•Conducted packages testing and schema testing.
•Attend review meetings and walkthroughs to better understand the requirement documents and the application
•Report of all defects identified during the testing process and attends defect call
One Source supports sales and revenue trending analysis for Online Service Business (OSB) division of Microsoft. Its primary function is that of a data warehouse, which obtains revenue related data from various financial systems, compiles that data per rules specified by the business, and provides it for consumption by various business units that use it for financial and marketing analysis. Imported data is provided in accordance with process and format that has been mutually agreed upon between the data provider and One Source. This data is extracted from these data sources and processed. Data is cleansed (i.e., duplicate rows removed), transformed and loaded into the dimension, fact tables Publish database. The system does provide data to internal and external reporting and OLAP systems; therefore there is high dependency of One Source to the operation of other time critical Jazz systems which has a user base across the globe. We have created Utilities for this project using C#.net which on the fly creates SSIS Packages for Import and Export.
Responsibilities:
•Involved on testing the new functionalities based on test cases and coordinate with development team in fixing the issues
•Direct interaction with clients.
•Responsible for creating complete test cases, test plans, test data and ensuring accurate coverage of requirements and business processes.
•Analyzing requirements and creating and executing test case.
•Performing manual testing by performing the operations mentioned in the design steps. Compared the expected results with the actual outcome and recorded the results.
•Performing backend testing of the DB by writing SQL queries to test the integrity of the application.
•Wrote and modified SQL validation scripts and writing scripts in SQL to validate the outputs
