I am currently working as a Pediatric Nurse and perform duty such as giving first aid treatment and taking care of injured and ill students, overseeing medication administration, healthcare procedures and the development of of healthcare plans. To become a school nurse, you should have a true desire to work with students, strive to help them reach their full potential and become an instrument part of a healthy school environment.
Provide first-aid treatments and medications for employees as needed
•Educate patients in the outpatient clinics; respond to consultations made by Physicians.
•Record patients' medical information and vital signs.
•Refer / Arrange transport of ill employees to the hospital as necessary.
•Prepare purchase or requisition of medicines as necessary to ensure availability of all medical supplies.
•Assess employee's examination results and refer to Company
Give first aid treatments and proper medication to employees as needed.
•Assess and determine the health status of the employee which includes recommendations like sending them home or back to work.
•Accompany and refer the injured or sick employee to the nearest clinic/ hospital.
•Maintain and keep medical and other related records of the employees.
•Examine and make sure that the sick employees submit fit-to-work certificates
•Go through diagnostic test results and medical certificates to determine results.
•Organize regular annual medical examination of all employees, assess results and referring them to the company physician or accredited clinics; monitor recommendations and follow through until illness is cleared.
•Prepare medical reimbursement report each month
•Prepare purchase requisition for necessary medicines to ensure availability of all medical supplies.
•Monitor the stock inventory of medicines and other necessary medical supplies from time to time.
•Create and provide health and safety awareness among employees.
