Work Description: As Senior Resident Engineer / Engineer’s Representative for KHATIB & ALAMI at the INFINITY TOWER project in Dubai, The project involves the construction of the World's highest residential tower featuring a 90-degree twisting shape. The 307-meter high residential tower comprises 6 basement levels, a ground floor, a mezzanine floor, 6 podium parking levels and 66 additional floors offering studios, one, two, three and four-bedroom apartments, duplexes and penthouses. Amenities in the project include a fully landscaped podium with a rooftop park, outdoor pool, whirlpool and children's pool located on the seventh floor, high-speed Internet, access to digital/satellite TV, comprehensive automation systems to control lights, a health spa with treatment rooms, a gymnasium, conference rooms, cigar lounge, a fully-equipped nursery, an outdoor swimming pool and a fully enclosed parking garage. I assume the responsibility to lead and supervise a team of Engineers and perform multidisciplinary coordination as well as perform Technical assessments alongside all other related activities and maintain Project requirements such as but not limited to revision of Shop Drawings, Work Procedures, Inspection requests, Site Coordination, … etc. generally, controlling every step of building work by checking at the site the accuracy and quality of work and meeting the schedules. Furthermore to liaise with the local authorities and Consultants to expedite the required approvals

Work Description:
In addition to the duties of the Senior Resident Engineer which are mainly identical to my duties in the INFINITY TOWER project, I assume the responsibilities of the project manager that include but not limited to the followings:
o Monitoring the PHYSICAL site progress based on the approved Construction Base line Program.
o Monitoring the Financial status in light of the achieved progress and its compatibility / suitability to the preplanned Cash Flow schedule.
o Appointment of the provisional sums subcontractors.
o Supervising the issuance of the Contractor / subcontractors monthly invoices as well as the Consultant’s payment certificates.
o Chair the weekly Progress and Technical meetings.
o Deal with day-to-day Technical, administrative and logistical issues.
Project Engineer “EIC” (Engineer-In-Charge) Engineer 1-Grade 14.
My responsibilities as Project Engineer is to handle all phases of a given project starting with the conceptual scope, the final scope for the Design Engineering Consultant and later on the construction scope for the Construction Contractor, thus to ensure -at all phases of the project- the implementation of relevant specifications / technology, know-how and experience in the field of the Petrochemical industrial facilities as well as the fulfillment of the Company projects related international Codes and Standards. Also, to provide my expertise in the related fields of Soil Mechanics, Civil / Structural Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Multidiscipline Coordination and Project Management / Planning as well as follow up project progress at all stages. The development procedure for a full completion of a given project may include but not limited to the following procedural steps:

The following are some of the projects I handled during my service in ARAMCO:
• EWO-00C069: OFFICE BUILDING FOR JEDDAH MARINE DEPARTMENT.
Project description:
Responsible as Project Manager for the design and supervising the Construction of a 2-storey plus observation tower Pre-Engineered steel office building (approximately 820 m2) with all facilities and utilities in accordance with the drawings, construction specifications and referenced standards. This building will be constructed at the same location of demolished portable maintenance office building.
As a Senior Advisor and a Swedish Government official is responsible for transferring and ensuring the implementation of the Swedish technology know-how and experience in the field of Underground Petrochemical Storage as well as to provide necessary expertise in the related fields of Soil Mechanics, Civil / Structural Engineering and Project Management. Some of the responsibilities and duties that may be summarized but not limited to the following:
• Design as well Design Verification of Sewage treatment units, Pipe Supports, Power Generation foundations and Supporting Structures for Heavy Machinery. The Power Generations Facilities existed in five different locations; each location has its specific Geotechnical characteristics.
• Performing Static and Dynamic analysis for foundations supporting heavy and vibrating machinery such as Power Generators and ensuring compliance with relevant specifications for Dynamic analysis such as: Design of Structures and Foundations for Vibrating Machines by Arya, O’Neill and Pincus 1981
• Checking, commenting and approval of Contractor’s works, design, technical calculations, construction schedules etc to ensure the conformity with the projects up-stream documents, approved specifications and recognized engineering practices.
• Checking, commenting and approval of the material data and specifications to ensure compliance to the projects requirements.
• Checking, commenting and approval of “AS-Built” drawings, test procedures, final work reports with historical profile of work periods, impediments facing the project and mistakes (if any) in order to avoid reoccurrence
• Check and evaluate the monthly progress reports of the Contractor and submit the same to the Corporation.
• Supervising inspection of construction works and testing procedure to ensure compliance to the project’s up- stream documents.
• Preparing technical reports related to problems, which arise during design and construction phases.
Employed as Consultant Principal Structural / Civil Engineer in Petrochemical Project Division for the following Clients and projects:
1- Saudi Arabian American Oil Company “SAUDI ARAMCO”.
1-1) - As Consultant Principal Structural Engineer, for the project Raw Water and Underground Storage Facilities & Foundation Design.
Work involves structural design of raw water underground tanks, raw water pump skid foundation, preparation of structural drawings, bill of quantities, specifications scope of work of contractors and provide consultant technical support during construction phase.
1-2) - As Senior Consultant for BI-8163, Berri Water Injection Causeway Extension Project for Saudi Aramco.
Work involves sophisticated technical consultant services for preparation of project proposals and detailed design package for pipeline structural supports, underground storage facilities, pump stations and substation for electrical supplies. Reviewing the design & drawings and performing quality control, supervision and coordination of the design team for mechanical and electrical disciplines.
1-3)-As Structural / Civil Consultant for BI-2973, Coast Guard Facilities in Yanbu
Work involves rendering consultant services for the preparation of detailed design package for residential buildings, athletic & lecture halls, underground sewage "Septic" tank, Elevated tanks and all other related facilities. Seismic, wind and applied loads analysis in accordance to ACI, Uniform building code and Saudi Aramco codes are used. Also performed structural assessment for existing structures to evaluate the degree of concrete deterioration and presented conclusive technical reports to the client.
1-4)- As Principal Structural Engineer - BI-8212, Renovate Product Handling Facilities, Terminal South, Ras Tanrua.
Work involves preliminary study, survey, collecting information around the existing tank farm areas and control building, preparing the as-built drawings
Concrete Deterioration & Steel Reinforcement Corrosion Problems in the Gulf and Methods of Repair -Extensive practical experience and academic degrees in the field of study and execution of repair operations to existing structures such as; sewage tunnels; concrete pipes; pump stations and underground tanks exposed to sewage water, sea water or chemically polluted environments
