• Major responsibilities
o Create database and rapport with major consultants and contractors
o Target market - upcoming design stage projects from consultant, new tender / in hand projects from main HVAC contractor.
o Target sector - Contractors, Real Estate owners, Public Institutions - Hospitals, Universities, Aviation, Govt Facilities etc., Pvt Institutions - Banks, Hotels etc. Industries - Power Plants, Oil & Gas Plants
o Work pattern - Based on the data collected (schedule and specifications of units called for), develop customized units on the manufacturer’s online software, bridge gap between customer requirement and technical compliance, prepare costing, negotiation over price with contractors, source approval from consultants, submittal preparation, arrange factory visits, constant communication with production team to maintain overview of production and production time, delivery and shipment schedules, co-ordination with purchase dept and clearing agents during customs clearance, co-ordinate delivery of the units, assistance in installation of units, taking care of after sales customer suggestions and rectification of issues on delivery, assist in providing any assistance during commissioning of units at site.

o AutoCAD - limited to project shop drawing
o ERP (Oracle E-Business Suite) - for Purchase Requisition, approvals etc
• Other responsibilities
o Approvals for fire related equipments from Kuwait Fire Department
o After sales handling - like unit assembling, installation, commissioning, repair/complaint handling
o Follow up on commercial aspects
o Arrange seminars, meetings for manufacturers to meet my clients in my region
o Carry out procurement and delivery of chemical products for KOC and KNPC based on existing order (additional responsibility)

Air-conditioning designing for buildings/villas
o Gather client requirements (These are mostly provided by senior staffs who hold pre-discussions with the client/main contractor)
o Based on the building plan, identify air-conditioning tonnage, route ducts, assign suitable grills and mechanical ventilation necessary for each area.
o Prepare BOQ and quotation based on the brand and make of a/c unit and the ducting preferred by client
o Prepare submittals for all materials and units selected
o Cross check drawings for any changes
o Maintain a project schedule chart based on the information retrieved from the supervisor
o Material/unit procurement (issue LPOs after negotiating on the prices, make arrangements at site for material reception etc)
o Generate reports based on the projects status taking into account of issues evolved during implementation process if any and final outcome.
o Maintain a chart for Periodic Maintenance of commissioned projects based on the contract terms
• Software used: Autocad 2007/2010
• Other responsibilities
o Maintain a chart for Annual Maintenance Contracts undertaken and answer emergency calls. Allocate the issues to concerned people.
