I am an American citizen, currently serving as the Dean of School of Science and Head of Departments of Biochemistry and Public Health Nutrition in Primeasia University, Dhaka, Bangladesh. http://sos.primeasia.edu.bd/Biochemistry.php The two other Departments under my office include Microbiology and Pharmacy.
My education and career focus into the areas of Biology, Cell & Molecular Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Environmental science, Toxicology, and Physiology. I also teach molecular biology, immunology, human health and nutrition related BIOMEDICAL COURSES, routinely.
Early part of my carrier involved front line Biochemistry-related RESEARCHES in India, France, and USA (1983-1994). Thereafter, I was involved in TEACHING in US institutes for many years (1994-2004). I left USA in January 2005 related to broaden my teaching and research experiences; since then, I have served in three different universities (Malaysia, Oman, and Bangladesh, 2005-2014). These jobs allowed me to gain further experiences working with diversified student bodies having different cultural and ethnic backgrounds. During my research and teaching career (1983-2014), I was thus involved in multitasking university businesses such as administrative, academic, national and international research collaboration, linkage program, extra-curricular activities, review of curriculum, course outline, pedagogy and other routine affairs.

Taught biology, chemistry, biochemistry, biotechnology, and biomedical science courses at the undergraduate level
Taught college level courses in Biochemistry, cell biology, genetics, environmental sciences, for the gifted students
Research and development in cell culture technology related to human health and diseases
Postdoctoral level research in intestinal function during health and diseases
Ph. D. thesis entitled “Studies in Environmental Biochemistry: Some Aspects of Intestinal Functions and Membrane Characteristics under Propane-1, 2-diol-induced Xenobiotic Stress in Male Rats. These studies were completed under the fellowship offered by the Government of India under the joint India Bangladesh Academic exchange program.
