Have commanded different types of BN ships (PC, LPC, OPV), Area Intelligence Units and served as Zonal Commander of Coast Guard South and West Zone. Besides, served in UN MISSION Sudan (UNMIS) and South Sudan (UNMISS). 13 Months services in UNMIS, Sudan as Logistics and Administrative Officer of Bangladesh Engineer Battalion (BANENGR-3) and 15 Months services in UNMISS, South Sudan as Contingent Commander (CC) of BANFMU-6 (CC Bangladesh Force Marine Unit Juba and Bangladesh Force Marine Unit Malakal).
Attended Junior Staff Course in Italy, Defense Services Command and Staff College Course at Mirpur and Armed Forces War Course at NDC, Dhaka and Harp Academy, Istanbul, Turkey. Has obtained Masters in Defense Studies (MDS) from the National University Dhaka, Diploma in War Studies and Joint Operations from Turkish Armed Forces War Colleges. Also attended Leadership Course, Post Graduate Diploma on Project Planning, Development & Management course, International Diploma in Supply Chain Management and Maritime Domain Awareness Course conducted by Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, Military Institute of Science & Technology (MIST), DCCI Business Institute in coordination with International Trade Centre (ITC)-UNCTAD/WTO Geneva and US Coast Guard respectively.
As naval representative in the delegation team; attended the first US-BD Defence Dialogue in Hawii, USA, Turkey-BD Coast Guard Security Dialogue in Turkey and BD-INDIA Training Talk in India.
