I was responsible for ensuring a rigorous, robust and innovative monitoring and evaluation of projects. I ensure that ACTED M&E practices are informed by the latest thinking and best practice in measuring impact and ensuring learning. I also set up protocols and strategies for communications between program teams and the monitoring department, the design of M&E frameworks, collection and analysis of indicator data, and reporting templates.

Creation of M&E frameworks and protocols: I successfully developed M & E frameworks and annual monitoring plans/protocols and have experience designing paper-based surveys and mobile data collection methods (ODK).

Programme Results and Impact: I ensured that programme monitoring, learning and evaluation strategy remains up to date and fit for purpose, in particular leading the organization on developing competence in the M&E of development initiatives, building partnerships to develop innovative evaluation techniques where appropriate.

Promote learning, quality and greater accountability: Developed mechanisms and processes that ensure robust review and evaluation of programme activities and ensure that learning is analyzed, disseminated and monitored in terms of follow-up.

Review and innovation of analysis protocols: Aim to drive re-evaluation of best-practices to achieve high-quality results using packages as SPSS, STATA and R.

Preparation, review and submission of donor reports: Support the writing of reports and audits for stakeholders, focusing on providing quality data and material.

Preparation, review and submission of donor reports: USAID, UNICEF, GAC, WFP (amongst others). I have successfully implemented planning and cooperation procedures that allow for timely submission.

Stakeholder engagement: Ensured consultation and participation of members and programs in the design, development and roll-out of M&E framework through leadership. Ensured cross member and regional networking and support.

Communications: manage work streams/discrete projects aimed at donor engagement or media campaigns as required by the management.

I developed and wrote proposal in response to a terms of reference (ToR) from National Aids Control Council (NACC). I used my skills in M&E framework design to create a comprehensive and dynamic project that employed the review of proposals submitted under the Total War against Aids (TOWA 5) call of proposals.

Research Capacity Development: Ran training sessions on qualitative research methods, qualitative analysis (coding handbooks), project management and conducting focus group discussions. Created training manuals for conducting qualitative research.

Project Management: Created project management paper. Managed the project design and implementation, and supervised the primary and secondary data analysis on projects for the

Trained 70+ field staff in qualitative and quantitative research methods and how to conduct household listing procedures. As a result, the quality of data collection, cleaning, analysis and monthly report writing improved during the baseline survey conducted on behalf of NORC at the University of Chicago and the World Bank.

Capacity Building: Attended a trainer of trainers (ToT) course on computer aided personal interviews (CAPI) and research. Train supervisors and research assistants on the use of tablets in research and how to undertake computer aided household listing and survey.

Project management: Ensure project adherence in the field to general research design, sample selection and data management. Undertake quality control of data collected and monitoring and evaluation of the project. Manage project logistics, contacts, communications and other tasks as might be requested by the central office and project managers.
