Responsibilities:
• Researching and designing new products to deliver superior performance and challenging cost, that meet and exceed customers’ requirement and expectations by develop, transfer and determine updated technologies in parallel of improving processes and equipment used in both production and quality controlling activities.
• Managing all aspects of product development projects as required by the company, such as improving product performance, cost engineering, or replacement of potentially hazardous raw materials.
• Managing alternative raw material evaluation programs, liaising with the ‘’Supply Chain department’’ and Group’s Global Purchasing unit. Reasons include cost reduction, creating second source for single source raw materials, raw materials approaching restriction by the regulatory authorities.
• Chairing the “Quality Review Group” to identify any potential areas of development or improvements for all processes, procedures, products, services, test methods, etc.
• Aiding in problem solving, ‘fire-fighting’ of immediate technical problems using solutions that may involve new techniques, technologies and concepts.
• Managing the customer complaint resolution process.
• Responsible for quality assurance of manufactured and factored goods.
• Analyzing trends in QC results of manufactured goods. Implement improvement plans that identify any deficiencies.
• Ensure HSE processes within the QC and Technical laboratory are in line with Fosroc Group requirements.
• Following the technical manual procedure for Laboratory and QC department to ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
• Ensures smooth running day to day working schedules of delegates within the QC and technical laboratory.
• Provide technical guidance to Chemists.
• Determining, negotiating and agreeing in-house quality procedures, standards, policies and specifications. • Creating, updating and maintaining the quality manual and training the involved department(s) to comply with it. • Collecting and analyzing customers feed back to address their requirements and expectations. • Investigating and setting the HSE system for the entire organization • Controlling the demand fulfillment process to follow the standards and achieve the customer satisfaction • Performance measurement for all departments and determining needed training for performance improvement. • Generating strategic plans to apply quality frameworks and methodologies to ensure the continuous improvement for the company. • Managing and supervision the quality control department activities that include testing raw materials, semi finished and finished products in according to the products' standards and specifications. • Determining and updating suppliers, subcontractors and applicators green list(s). • Maintaining high level of traceability by updating and controlling the important records for all processes’ inputs and outputs. • Defining defects in products and errors in services, back track to records and determining the source of defect or error. • Defining the corrective actions for nonconforming products and services and setting arrangements to formulations, policies and procedures as a preventive action for defects and errors. • Site visiting and evaluating the performance of applicators and subcontractors. • Assess the performance of new formulas, including the selection and carrying out of appropriate chemical and performance tests to measure the product’s characteristics, as a customer focus method to achieve their satisfaction and maintain high reputation for the company.
