Lead ITIDA’s E-Commerce industry development strategy and supporting programs.
Identified the needs & challenges of the local E-commerce industry and addressing them with well-designed programs, policy advice and being a strategic advisor to e-commerce companies and stakeholders.
Speaker & official representative of Egypt at global e-commerce events like the Global E-Commerce Summit.
Worked closely with the founders and the management team on the strategy & the e-commerce side of the business.
Led a team of six to deliver Arabic Literature to the World.
• First online Bookstore in Egypt.
• Bootstrapped for 20 months.
• Shipping 10, 000 Arabic books to more than 50 countries.
• Planned and launched the first ever Virtual Book signing event for a book called Saba' Ayam (7 days) for an author called Zap Tharwat - Sold 350 dedicated signed copies in 72 hours.
• Closed first round of financing (Seed round) at $500k valuation led by Wamda Capital and 5 angel investors.
Launched one of the first three pioneering E-commerce companies in Egypt while still studying for the undergraduate degree.
• Chosen as one of the top 100 Mediterranean startups in 2011 in MedVentures .
• In less than a year, reached 10, 000 registered users and 500k EGP revenues.
