Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate with Planning Manager on export orders to ensure timely scheduling of production; execute export orders taking into account lead times required for delivery.
• Analyze customer order patterns and follow up with customers for new orders; provide order status to customers in coordination with Planning/Production Manager.
• Negotiate rates and win profitable contracts for containers, vessels and trucks; check and insure shipments against transit damage and claims in case of damage.
• Investigate and identify the most appropriate route for the shipment, considering the nature of goods, cost, transit time and safety of goods.
• Develop and maintain the documentation related to shipping and financial instruments including any pre-shipment certification and submit to the appropriate authorities.
• Handle customer queries in an effective manner; escalate product quality complaints of customers, arrange investigations and execute decisions with regards to liquidation, disposal or return of goods.
• Prepare departmental MISs, summarize key findings and submit reports to the management to provide decision-making support for customer service improvement.
• Monitor duties and taxes payable as well as process payments for overseas suppliers, customs, forwarding agent, finance department, sales department and warehouse department on behalf of the client.
• Monitor deliveries, ensure customer satisfaction and maintain accurate logs of all transportation and goods.

• Obtained approval of POD agent regarding export customer request for Freight Collect Approval (FPD); updated and maintained master data and validated customers.
• Manage FOB approval for import shipments; sent loading confirmation (SOB), shut out and export invoice notifications to export customers; also issued export invoices.
• Updated customers on vessel schedule on weekly basis; sent arrival notice for import cargo prior to vessel arrival.

Key Responsibilities as Accountant:
• Assisted the Accounting Manager in departmental operations including month- and year-end activities, AP/AR, general ledger, cash forecasting, budgeting, revenue/expenditure variance analysis and debt activity, etc.
• Managed daily A/P transactions, maintained the purchase ledger, received and scrutinized invoices forwarded by suppliers / vendors, resolved invoice discrepancies and processed 3rd party payments as per agreed terms and conditions.
• Issued cash/check receipts against customer payment and prepared collections flow and payment flow statements; arranged deposits on trust and checks realization to be matched with WAR.
• Responsible for receiving payable checks from the inward customers as retention against risk of flood stuff execution and reported the status of those checks.
• Communicated credit limits to customers as per the credit policy of the company, monitored accounts payable closely and expedited processing of AP accounts within acceptable deadlines.
• Prepared bank reconciliation of accounts, monitored cash position and followed up renewal of L.G. from the customer and the company.
• Entered data regarding cash receivables from the customers and invoices in UASAC System; generated and maintained accounting records and prepared other financial reports for senior management review.
