I am the project manager of a brand new solution called Tivios, which offers transport planning and optimization in the form of Software as a Service (SaaS)
Tivios is a 2.5M Euro project, developed by IBM.
My role includes:
• Act as Project Owner in the Tivios Project with all internal & external stakeholders (IBM & Atos Origin);
• Drive the implementation;
• Support the negotiation cycle with WKTS management;
;
• Support project-chartering process and setup;
• Estimate the project's effort from functional change requirements, working with technical domain experts;
• Plan, schedule and track projects, with related cost estimation and scope control responsibilities & mitigate project risks;
• Provide oversight and control of any external resources contracted to the project;
• Follow the Tollgate process (Lean 6 Sigma) and prepare gate reviews with stakeholders.
• Responsible for the operations of Carrefour Belgium Mobile, Carrefour Italy Mobile, Carrefour Poland Mobile and Carrefour Taiwan Mobile (team of 10 technicians and engineers)
• Lead international projects of Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO), outside the partnership with Carrefour (analyse risks and propose mitigation plans, set up and follow up project planning, commit on timing and budget, ...):
- SAMATEL (Oman)
- FM Mobile (Poland)
• Participate to meetings with business stakeholders to gather requirements and explore potential functional solutions (POS, CRM, Billing system, BI…).
• Design conceptual data models matching the business processes.
• Lead meetings with technical stakeholders to gather and understand technical constraints and explore potential implementations.
• Manage the RFI and RFP in an independent way.
• Select supplier together with purchasing and functional expert.
• Manage the supplier to deliver the agreed deliverables.
• Developing strong business relationships with the business owners (Manufacturing, Sales, Supply Chain, Finance, ) across Europe (Belgium, France, U.K., Italy, Germany, Hungary, Czech Republic and Russia).
• Supporting business goals, challenges and initiatives and formulating it into an executable framework.
• Managing Steering Committee with the business units to provide detailed analysis and discussion on the on-going projects and initiatives.
• Reporting to the IT & Financial Director
• Driving continuous operational improvement, through process improvement and business re-engineering and ensuring the cost effective design.
• Working with the IT Department (AGC-IT) to ensure the effective implementation of business initiatives.
• Operational P&L responsibility and fiscal budgeting for IT programs (10 Million Euro/ year).
• Effectively managing virtual teams internally and externally ensuring achievement of objectives.
• Accountable for updating the functional design of the European VISA central system to support biometric transactions.
• Additional responsibilities included assimilating the documentation of the VISA system (>4000 pages).
• Assessing the impact of enabling biometric transactions in the VISA system and providing estimates (in men-days) on the workload required.
• Diligently developing a strategy and an execution plan for delivering high-level functional design.
• I have worked closely with steel suppliers and steel buyers (Toyota, BMW, ..) across Europe to develop functional storyboard designs.
• The scope of the project wad to connect an E-business platform and an Hub to the SAP systems from steel suppliers (Arcelor and ThyssenKrupp Steel) to enable the buyers to integrate their Order systems (through EDI and Web interface).
• My role was to :
- design and manage new e-services
- but also support the existing e-services
• My tasks were including:
- the creation of high-level requirements definition for system processes and products (including developing project objectives and plans, verifying work and utilizing traceability methods)
- the follow-up of the projects by verifying and validating contract deliverables (development offshore in India) in the context of agreed upon specifications and financial program assessment by means of monthly ETC exercise.
- the generation of post implementation documentation (release notes, support plans, training, ..)
- the support of live e-services by isolating problem areas, identifying root causes of problems and initiating actions for solving them.
• At Belgacom, the project was to migrate the existing CRM from PeopleSoft 8 to 8.8 but also to implement new features linked to marketing and sales areas
• My role was to:
- Review the business processes (with the users and the Project Management) in order to understand sales and marketing service requirements.
- Write the functional specifications based on the business requirements
• I have also been deeply involved in the testing scenarios for the migration and the new Sales & Marketing features.
• At Mobistar, the project was to implement a new PeopleSoft CRM for Call Centre agents and a new Marketing Campaign tool (UNICA) directly plugged on the PeopleSoft CRM.
• My role was to:
- Design the data flow between UNICA and PeopleSoft
• I have also participated to the stress and load test sessions on the new CRM application, by developing stress test scripts simulating hundred agents working with the CRM.
• Codenet was a Telecom operator providing Voice and Data services to corporate
• My role was to:
- Support the CRM and the Billing System
- Provide standard and ad-hoc reports to the Finance and the Sales departments
• During my last year in the company, I have been deeply involved in the project of a new CRM (Siebel) plugged on a new version of the Billing System
