Overseeing the academic programs of their institution. They work with faculty members to develop and implement curriculum, manage student assessment strategies, and ensure that students are meeting all relevant standards and benchmarks.

Responsibilities
•Delivering lessons to the assigned classes
•Responsible for guiding students through assessment
•work in collaboration with colleagues and attend both training and planning sessions
•Foster good links with parents and attend parent-student-teacher meetings and conferences
•meet all work deadlines
•ensure that student assessment is regular and consistent and that students learn from it
•contribute to the pastoral life and extracurricular activities of the school
• held regular meetings, formal and informal, to discuss Department matters and to ensure that the Department works as a team. Minutes of these meetings to be sent to the Deputy Head (Academic) and the Headmaster
• responsible for the drawing up of syllabuses/schemes of work; Departmental hand-outs for Open Morning; the Faculty handbook; display and the general appearance of the Department
• responsible for the selection of text books and teaching materials, and the methods of teaching used by members of the Department
• was accountable to the Headmaster for all budgeting within the Department, and the implementation of Health and Safety Policies within the area
• responsible for the furniture and fabric within the Department
• attended Academic Forum meetings
• attended Sixth Form Registration Day before the start of each academic year
• provided the Deputy Head (Academic) with timetable allocation of Department
UK Curriculum.
Taught Grade: 5, 8, 10 and 11(IGCSE)
Handled Department Meetings, planning, Standardized Test preparation and Schemes of work.
Organizes and helps in Football extracurricular activity.
