Worked as an Electrical Technician
Plant Generate power from a TOHIBA Steam Turbine Generator Set rated for a maximum gross generation capacity of 134 MW B&W (Babcock & Wilcox) 435t/h. .
Steam Turbine rated output power 134 MW. The generator rated of 170MVA, 15.5KV.
Worked on 160MVA, 132KV Generator Transformer.
Worked on 0.9MW WAUKESHA generators.
Worked on 6.6KV MV, LV Cutler Hammer Switchgear, & 132KV Siemens Switch yard.
Performed electrical wiring, troubleshooting and preventive maintenance of ''Diesel Generators'', 415 Volt, 500 KVA (caterpillar, U.S.A made).
Troubleshooting of Auma and Limit Torque MOVs.
Configured and coordinated during testing of microprocessor based and static relays for Motors, generators and transformers protections.
Maintenance and Troubleshooting of Simplex fire protection system.
Preventive maintenance & troubleshooting of 75 KVA rating UPS which involved Rectifier-Inverter-Static Switch..
MOTORS:
Preventive maintenance of low and medium voltage motors.
Rewinding of LV Motor’s
rotection relays, trouble shooting, greasing, Oil replacement.
PROTECTIVE RELAYS:
Familiar with operation and testing of relays such as Earth fault, , Under/Over Voltage and, over current, Short circuit, , Negative phase sequence and Thermal etc. ( all types CEE Relays, SIPROTEC & ElectroMachnica )
series control panel etc. control and other electrical control & protection equipment’s.
Testing of Generator & Motors
Performing Load test for Generators. Protection principles and application of sensitivity, stability, selectivity, suitability.
Investigate problems and recommend solutions during fault & alarms.
Perform and documents Scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on Electrical.
Routine maintenance Motors, Generators, Transformers, relays, circuit breakers, C.T’s, P.T’s, Isolators, DC Batteries.
Emergencies handling by taking split second decision.
SWITCH GEARS:
Preventive/Corrective maintenance of LV/MV switchgear which includes
SF6, , Air Break Circuit Breakers & Magnetic Contactors.
TRANSFORMERS:
Preventive / Corrective maintenance of Transformers which includes :
Testing & treatment of Transformer oil, Meggering of Transformer,
Inspection of windings, inspection, Protection Relays
MOTORS:
