• Mapped emerging technology landscapes and provided long-range forecast trends to clients such as BAE Systems (airborne software).
• Provided advice and project reviews to FTSE 100 companies, venture capital firms and R&D.
• Interviewed technology experts/consultants to provide strategic advice to clients such as KAUST to stay at the forefront of innovation.
• Currently supervising two PhD students and teaching electroceramics and materials chemistry.
• Project: I work on proton-conducting systems involving nanostructured metal-hydrogen systems to probe the surface exchange and bulk/interfacial diffusion of protonic species.
• Research techniques: I use state-of-the-art surface analysis techniques including secondary ion mass spectrometry, X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy and ion scattering spectroscopy.
• Leadership: Equality, Diversity and Culture Representative at the Department of Materials. Currently supervising two PhD students and teaching electroceramics and materials chemistry.
• Project: I focused on high-power LIBs batteries achieved by hybridised electrode materials.
• Research Techniques: Manufacturing of coating-type electrodes, battery (coin) cells, Electrochemical testing of cells and material characterisation, scaling up of electrode fabrication.
• Responsible for the induction of new members (~15/session) and the well-being of the laboratory.
• Coordinated and managed the government-mandated regular health and safety checks.
• No accidents occurred during my tenure and had feedback of excellent from the H&S Officer.
• Coordinated among 10-15 operational and executive team members for regular meetings.
