As Design Engineer (Wet Utilities), working/worked on Royal Commission (RC) Jubail Projects.

Scope of work includes effective design, preparation of drawings and design reports of potable water supply and sanitary/waste water disposal, grading & storm water drainage for different RC contracts. Brief description of Projects is given below:

 Airport Connection of Utilities - Jubail (Contract No. 090-C30)

This scope under this project was divided based on infrastructure and special aviation works. AERTEC is responsible for all aviation works and Saud Consult is responsible for infrastructure works.

Currently I am working on this project as Lead Design Engineer since I am involved from the commencement. I am also involved in coordination with other discipline Engineers and AERTEC in Spain. Technically, I am responsible for effective design & preparation of drawings and design reports of wet utilities. This involves the design of transmission main for Potable water and irrigation water up to airport wet utilities area (area specified for storage and pump stations), also design of sanitary wastewater forcemain from airport lift station to disposal point outside airport boundary. Furthermore, to provide facilities to Airport buildings I am involved in design of potable and fire water network distribution system including design of pumps and storage, design of sanitary wastewater network system with intermediate lift station and forcemain and supply of irrigation water to airport buildings and road medians. I used latest software for design of wet utilities, for example Bentley WaterGems & SewerGems and for grading I used Autodesk Civil3D.


100% Package has been submitted to RC for review and currently receiving comments on package. I am reviewing and responding to comments from Engineering Department (Civil) and Construction Department. Also coordinating with other discipline engineers to respond relevant comments and return to me for onward submission to RC for comments closure so that we can proceed to IFB (Issued for Bid) submission.


 Subdivision & Development of Downstream Industrial Zone (Cnotract No. 318-C01)

Services required to design under this task include roads, potable water supply/distribution, sanitary wastewater disposal, industrial wastewater disposal, electrical power, street lighting and telecommunication. I was involved in the design of gravity network i.e sanitary waste water network including preparation of layouts, profiles, standard detail drawings.

The sanitary wastewater network consists of gravity mains, pressure mains, lift stations and pumping stations. Wastewater is collected from the sub-plots and transferred to the main SPS through a network of gravity, force mains and lift stations using SewerGems.

 Sea Water Cooling & Supply and Return Works Phase-2 (Contract No. 20B-C03)

Seawater Cooling Supply and Return Network is required to provide the necessary infrastructure for the mineral, steel and other industries at Ras Al-Khair Industrial City (RIC). Seawater cooling supply will be provided from pump station. The supply pipeline 2-1600mm dia. (one working & one standby) will provide cooling water through Industry Valve Chambers (IVC) to industries. The seawater cooling return water will be pumped in to an Outfall Structure, from where the seawater cooling return of 1500mm dia. will flow to the Arabian Gulf through an outfall structure.

I have visited site in month of August 2016 with Managers to study and collect data required to finalize the sea water cooling supply and return routes and prepare “Site Condition Report”. Currently involve in the preparation of layouts and profiles of sea water cooling supply and return works including standard detail drawings. Also involve in the preparation of presentation (in Ms Power Point) to represent Client.

As a Senior Engineer (Infrastructure) worked on the following projects:

 Feasibility Study of Kumi Kot Water Supply Stand Alone Study (KKWSS) - Neelam Jhelum Consultants (JV of MWH, NORPOLAN, NESPAK, ACE & NDC)

Study and preparation of feasibility report for water supply system through spring source, various site visits conducted with project team during study to know hydraulic behaviour of springs, EIA of project area, Socio-Economic Baseline Survey and study the feasible route of water supply system so that maximum number of people may get water at their doors. The contour survey was also conducted by survey team which enables us to finalize water supply line route. Based on studies and various surveys, report was prepared and proposed recommendations.

 Design of Sewerage Network and Design and Build of Sewage Treatment Plant for Wilayat Al - Musanaah, Sultanate of Oman.

The scope of the project was to design sewerage system and prepare built operate system documentation for sewage treatment plant for Wilayat Al Musanaah Sultanate of Oman located on coast of Gulf of Oman. The project area comprises of about 7.0 Sq. km of land area. The probable cost of this project is about 11 million Riyal Omani which includes laying of Sewerage Network and enhancement of existing Sewage Treatment Plants. I was involved in hydraulic design of sewerage system, preparation of tender documentation and technical specifications for sewerage system Sewage treatment plant. Sewage Treatment Plant was consist of three option of technologies including oxidation ditch system, MBR, and activated sludge process.

 Study and design of storm water drainage and prevention of storm water danger for Qilwah, Al-Mukhwah, Biljurashi, Al-Mandaq and Al-Aqiq in Al-Baha region, Kingdome of Saudi Arabia

Al-Baha Region is located in the south-western part of the Kingdom at about 745 km from Riyadh. The scope of the project was to evaluate the existing drainage system, design of proposed storm water drainage system and flood protection works of above mentioned (05) five cities. I was involved in hydraulic design of proposed storm drainage system, prepared Preliminary and Detailed Engineering Design Report and Tender drawings.

 Constrution of Water Tanker Filling Station At Barzaman, Governorate of Sharqia (North) Oman

Participate in the preparation of tender document including design of 7.5km D.I DN200mm force-main from tapping point to tanker filling station, Preparation of bill of quantities.

 Sattelite Town Housing Scheme GT Road Near Jhelum City

Involved in the hydraulic design of water supply, sewerage and road drainage system. Preparation of design report and tender document for the project.
