Carry out Clinical Assessments as a part of National Recruitment Programme for postgraduate medical applicants applying to GP Training Schemes in UK.
Responsible for Education, Teaching ad Training of post graduate Trainees throughout their 3 years of training within an approved and accredited training environment covering 2 years of hospital and 1 year of General Practice training. I am also responsible for carrying out trainees' final year Educational Reviews using e Portfolios and making recommendations to Health Education England.
In addition to my responsibilities as Local Medical Director (see below), I am responsible for providing the Clinical Leadership, guidance and support, and high quality contracted NHS clinical services (essential, additional and enhanced services) in North West region of England.
• Also involved in providing leadership in strategic planning and transformation of services with integration and implementation of new models of care for the organisation at national level.
• Member of Clinical Board working closely with Business Board to continually improve service provision and to provide clinical input and guidance in developing relevant policies and procedures for the organisation by identifying and proposing key transformational and developmental activities.

I have been responsible in setting up, developing, monitoring and running of various APMS (Alternative Provider of Medical Services) contracts across multiple sites in the North West of England leading to Integrated Healthcare provision for the community. This role also included setting up and delivering various Enhanced Services (LESes, DESes and NESes) as a part of APMS contracts.
• I have been responsible for the recruitment and retention of our clinical and key management staff
across North West sites and have also established Professional Development Review system for the
doctors across IntraHealth North West. I have also been a Clinical Lead for all the IntraHealth North West sites
• I have been involved in setting up and providing Chronic Disease Management, Minor Surgery, Joint Injections, Benzo Clinics, Child Health Surveillance Clinics, Post Natal Clinics and Teenage Clinics in addition to essential and additional clinical General Medical Services. I have special interest in Diabetes Management and have also set up a Diabetic Clinic and successfully ran this clinic with positive feedback from all the stakeholders.
• I am a GP trainer and Educational Supervisor for ST1, ST2 and ST3 for Health Education England (North West Deanery). I have been successful in achieving the GP Training Status for the first IntraHealth Training Practice in the North West of England. I have also helped other health centres in North West to achieve the Training Status.
• In my role as a Local Medical Director, I have been actively involved in strategic planning, monitoring and developing of new and existing health care contracts and services at local, regional and national levels. NHS Health Checks/Find and treat (National Health Assessment), Anticoagulation Services and Childhood
influenza vaccination pilots from Department of Health England are just a few examples.
Health First is an award winning Community Interest Company covering a huge patient population of
120, 000 in North West of England.
• Developed innovative and flexible ways for providing health care and health assessments in partnership with public and private services and also led the organisation in providing community based Breathlessness services, NHS Health Checks, Flu vaccinations, Audiology services, Health assessments, Nurse teaching and training, Lung function tests and Heart Failure screening and diagnosis services.
• Involved in setting up the organisation as a Federation to help provide extended access to patients through alliance with other federations in the area for a population size of 320, 000.
NICE is an Executive non-departmental public body of the Department of Health in the United Kingdom.
• Providing independent, transparent and expert clinical advice in facilitating the development of indicators for improvement of quality of care in primary care in UK.
Monitoring and reporting of performance of practices to NHS England on their performance against
quality care indicators.

I have published a report on Coronary Heart Disease and Stroke commissioned by Tameside and Glossop
NHS Primary Care Trust in July 2003. NHS PCT (Primary Care Trust) and the Local Authority used this
Publication as evidence and successfully secured funding for Community based Health and Social Care
Projects in Lancashire UK.
Worked in partnership with Public Health, NHS and community organisations on various health and lifestyle projects with communities from diverse ethnicities.I also published a report on Coronary Heart Disease and Stroke commissioned by Tameside and Glossop Primary Care Trust.

AUDIT EXPERIENCE
• Over the last 6-7 years, I have been actively involved in local, regional and national audits in both
clinical and managerial areas in my roles as a Local Medical Director and Director of a GP federation.
My recent clinical audits were on 1) Uncomplicated urinary tract infections in Primary Care and 2)
Improving Hba1c by initiating GLP 1 analogues in Primary Care settings.
