Coordinate and expedite the flow of printing work and materials departments of the printing press. according to a production schedule. Duties include
department supervisors to determine progress of work and completion dates; and compiling
reports on progress of work, inventory levels, costs, and production problems.
Have knowledge of preventative maintenance requirements in a printing press and be able to liaise knowledgeably and effectively with technical maintenance team.
Record production data, including volume produced, consumption of raw materials, and quality control measures.
Request and maintain inventories of materials and supplies necessary to meet production demands.
Calculate figures including required amounts of labor and materials, manufacturing costs, labor costs, using pricing schedules, adding machines, or computers needed in calculations.
