A. Carrying out the destruction treatment of hospital waste:
- Receiving, storing and disposing of all the hospital waste from the different departments, according to prot
B. Responsible for incineration activities
- Make sure that the incinerating process is respected: warm-up, loading, time of batch, cleaning.g…
- Make sure thatPerform the proper the follow up of the incineration activity is properly done and report it to the log supervisor on regular basis.
- Informing his supervisor immediately in the event of any problem or breakdown.
C. Responsible for security and standards of hygiene in the waste treatment area:
- Checking that no waste is left lying around in the waste treatment area
- Cleaning the bins with 2% chlorine solution and ensuring they are dry before returning them to the departments
- Checking that the pit trap doors are properly shut
- Closing access to the treatment area at all time
- Responsible of the cleanness of the waste area.
D. Responsible for his equipment
- Drawing up requests for general equipment (chlorine, gloves, brushes, tools, etc) and passing them on to his supervisor
- Providing the tools and equipment to the cleaners team, informing his supervisor of any losses, thefts or replacement needs
- Make sure that his team is wearing obligatory protective clothing (overalls, boots, gloves, goggles and a mask with changeable filters)
- Informing his supervisor immediately in the event of an accident during the treatment of waste
E. Water Supply
- Operating the pump when needed
- Checking the chlorination unit every day and make the necessaries adjustments
- Helping in fixing small breakdown in the water network
- Monitoring the good working of tanks, valves, pipe connections, regular cleaning of these equipments.
- Responsible for the maintenance of the MSF network
- Responsible for the proper chlorination of the water distributed to MSF buildings by checking, recording and reporting on daily basis the residual chlorine in at least 5 differentsdifferent water distribution points and perform some adjustements of the chlorination if needed
F. Responsible for the outside cleaning of the hospital
- Supervision of the head of cleaners: checking of their work, attendance, hygiene protocols
- Set up the planning of the cleaners and mMake sure that itthe daily and monthly cleaning plan is respected
- Reporting to his supervisor any problem
G. Acting in awareness sensitization
- Taking part in the general sensitization about hygiene
- Involving in training about waste disposal issue, for both MoH and MSF staff
H. Participation in other Logistics activities
- Helping for any Logistics task when requested: cleaning, plumbing…
2/ Purchaser
A. Being responsible for local orders following approval by the management team
- Receiving the final versions of purchase orders (local order forms) from the Supply Log Supervisor. or Logistician
- Deciding with the latter which items are a priority and which suppliers to use
- Determine which items are available from stock -> prepare stock request to warehouse officer
- In the event of questions concerning technical material (mechanical, WHS, biomedical), contacting the managers immediately to obtain the information required for the purchase
- Drawing up a cash request in accordance with the unit prices and quantities of items listed on the order form and submitting it first to his supervisor for approval, then to the Administrative Manager
- Following approval, receiving the funds required for the purchases from the Accountant or Cashier
B. Collecting quotes and tracking market prices
For purchases of minor value, compare the offered price with previous purchases or with orally stated offers from alternative suppliers.
- Once a quote has been requested (noted on the order form), collecting at least three different prices (in sealed envelopes) from local traders or craftsmen, with all the necessary information:
