Successfully completed project on “Benchmarking of fire water system of Engro Fertilizer
with NFPA standards”, actively conduct safety audits of production units and warehouse.
BENCHAMRKING OF FIRE WATER SYSTEM WITH NFPA CODES AND STANDARDS
The given below NFPA Codes and Standards are examine extensively for benchmarking of fire
water system of Engro fertilizer.
1. NFPA 1, Fire Prevention Code (195 pages)
2. NFPA 10, Standard for Portable Fire Extinguishers (83 pages)
3. NFPA 15, Standard for Water Spray Fixed Systems for Fire Protection (60 pages)
4. NFPA 18, Standard on Wetting Agents (14 pages)
5. NFPA 20, Standard for the Installation of Centrifugal Fire Pumps (91 pages)
6. NFPA 22, Standard for Water Tanks for Private Fire Protection (78 pages)
7. NFPA 24, Standard for the Installation of Private Fire Service Mains (34 pages)
8. NFPA 25, Standard for the Maintenance of Water Based Fire Protection Systems (90 pages)
9. NFPA 72, National Fire Alarm Code (410 pages)
Marking is as per by given below scheme categories:
I. System followed NFPA Standard. (3/3)
II. System followed standard other than NFPA and risk is under acceptable limit. (2/3)
III. System not followed any standard and risk is under tolerable limit. (1/3)
IV. System not followed any standard and risk is under unacceptable limit. (0/3)
Percentage of NFPA standard followed =
\{\[Sum of (NFPA standards*marks obtained) / (Total number of NFPA Standards *3)\] * 100\}
Above 80%: Satisfactory, Continue good practices.
60% - 80%: Unsatisfactory, keep efforts to fulfil NFPA Codes and Standards.
40% - 60%: acceptable, take serious steps to make system as per by NFPA Standards.
Below 40%: Unacceptable, need immediate steps to redesign system as per by NFPA Standards.

Key Responsibility:
Comprehensive study of crude processing in different production units, analyzing role of Supply Chain department, Contract Management team and Operation division.
Byco Petroleum Pakistan Limited is the largest Hydro-skimming oil refinery in Pakistan with respect to production capability with approximately 800 workers and also follows national and international standards which include Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Series (OHSAS 18001), Quality Management System (ISO 9001), Environmental Management Systems (ISO 14001) and National Environmental Quality Standard(NEQS) and is composed of two oil refineries complex named as oil refinery complex-1 and oil refinery complex-2.
Oil Refinery Complex-1 started Operation in July 2004 and has total refining capacity of 35, 000 barrels of crude per day to produce liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), motor Gasoline, kerosene, high speed diesel (HSD) and furnace oil for bunkers and energy generation.
Key role:
1) Understanding polymerization process of PET formation, learn Supply Chain Management to streamline flow of raw material, work in process inventory and finish product as per market demand.
2) Submitting report include your opinion and ideas for modification & improvement of both qualitative and quantitative aspects of production.
PROCESS DEPARTMENT
1) POLYCON department (poly-1 & poly-2)
The basic raw materials for the polyethylene terephthalate (PET) formation are Terephthalic acid and Ethylene glycol, esterification proceeds and forward reaction is favored by continuous removal of product, company produce three PET grades
Textile grade PET formed in poly 2 having intensive viscosity 0.60
Film grade PET formed in poly-1 having intensive viscosity 0.635-0.640
Bottle grade PET formed in poly-1 having intensive viscosity 0.635-0.640.
2) SOLID STATE POLYMERIZATION department (SSP-1/SSP-2/SSP-3)
The main objectives of solid state polymerization SSP are
*To upgrade the intensive viscosity
*To remove the moisture
*To minimize the aldehyde
*To increase the molecular weight of chips
