SEHA commissioned Allen & Shariff to manage design and construction of new state-of-the-art healthcare facilities replacing existing Al Mafraq Hospital, Al Ain Hospital and SKMC Hospital (700+ beds each) and several other new facilities. Replacement hospitals will have the most modern diagnostics and medical facilities. These new facilities will be a benchmark in medical excellence in the region.

Responsibilities:
• Represents Allen & Shariff Corporation for quality and construction related matters.
• Liaise with the Client, Consultants and Contractors.
• Conduct Management Review Meetings and identify areas of improvements and necessary actions.
• Develop, update, maintain, and implement Project/Quality Management Plan.
• Conduct internal and second party audits.
• Technical review and assessment of design deliverables, tender documents, Value Engineering proposals, Claims, Change Orders etc.
• Review and advise on the Quality Plans, Designer’s submittals, Contractor’s submittals, Request for Information, Reports, Inspection and Test Plans, Non-conformances etc.
• Perform statistical analysis and the assessment of progress of design and construction of works, and quality and safety information.
• Evaluate performance of Consultants and Contractors.
• Attend progress / construction / coordination and QA/QC meetings and add value for solving issues.
• Monitor implementation of Contractor’s Quality and HSE plans and procedures.
• Prepare progress reports.

Project: Abu Dhabi Golf Club Resorts
Scope of Work:
The project consists of a Hotel, Infrastructure works (roads and car park), 76 Villas, three Appartment Blocks and relevant Golf facilities. Hotel comprised of 145 units, 5 food and beverage outlets, health club, spa, golf academy and Infra-structure.

Position: Resident Engineer / Materials Engineer
Project: Sheikh Zayad Bin Sultant Al Nahyan Mosque (The Grand Mosque)
Scope of Work:
The mosque is state-of-the-art monument building project. It has 82 numbers of domes with the largest one of diameter 33m having crescent top level +84m from FFL. The four reinforced concrete minarets clad with dry fixed marble and caped with gold mosaic glass reinforce plastic composite finial at the top extends to height 106m. The mosque has the best level expensive finishes, MEP works and piling works for the underground car park, services tunnels, retaining walls, and infrastructural works. The finishes includes some 164, 000 sq. meters of marble cladding, 30000 sq. meters of decorative gypsum works, 17000 sq. meters pre-cast composite marble mosaic flooring, world largest carpet weighing about 40 tons, world largest gold-plated bronze chandelier weighing about 10 ton, painting and protective coatings, roofing works, architectural lighting, reflective pools, pietra-dura works, decorative glazed doors, gold anodised aluminium works and much more.

Position: Resident Engineer
Project: Mina Mussafah, Contract No. 79, Abu Dhabi
Scope of Work:
Mina Mussafah Port consists of Quay wall, revetment area, storage sheds, fuel tanks and control tower etc. to deal the general cargo generated in and imported to the Mussafah Industrial area.
Responsibilities as Resident Engineer:
• Contract administraction as per FIDIC.
• Performed tender evaluation for each tender package / provisional sum items.
• Provided timely solutions for technical coordination and other construction / commercial issues.
• Coordination with the Design team, issue Engineer’s Instructions and construction documents as required.
• Ensure the work is constructed in accordance with the Contract.
• Developed site management plan, recruited staff and assigned responsibilities.
• Review/approve materials, method statement, shop drawings, design calculations, change requests inspection and test reports, materials deliveries, corrective actions of non-conformances etc.
• Liaise/hold meetings with Client, Project Manager, Contractors, Suppliers / Sub-contractors.
• Evaluate and report on Contractor’s performance.
• Prepare/submit staff deployment schedules, monthly progress reports, payment applications etc.
• Review and certify Contractor’s payment applications.
• Review and certify variation orders, contractor’s claims, and prepare reports to Client.
• Conduct final/site walk, document snags, and execute project handover activities.
Responsibilities as Materials Engineer:
• Review/recommend approval status to the Contractor submittals including materials and test reports.
• Quality inspection of materials deliveries, sampling and storage.
• Provide technical guidance to the Site Inspectors.
• Quality inspection of rebar fabrication and fabrication yard of precast concrete units.
• Surveillance inspection of formwork erection, rebar placement, concrete batching plants, sampling and testing, and other installations..
• Participate in the audit of concrete batching plant, laboratories etc.
• Issue NCRs and review and approve corrective action.
• Responsible for documentation and data control.
• Prepare monthly progress reports.

Position: Quality Engineer
Project: Consumer Receipt Station / Valve Station and HP Pipeline installation:
Scope of Work:
Construction of Consumer Reciept Station consisting of I & A Building, Filter Skid, Pressure Reduction Skid, Metering Skid, Pipe Supports, E & I Supports, Car parking, Fire Shelter, Transformer Building, Fence, Stone Riprap, Cable trenches, Valve Stations, and installation of 10” HP Gas Pipe.

Position: Project Engineer
Project: Defence Project, Musaffah Abu Dhabi
Scope of Work:
Construction of asphalt approach road.
Responsibilities:
• Developed Quality System documentation for ISO 9001 Certification. Coordinate with ISO certification authority for the certification and surveillance audits.
• Responsible for the implementation of Company’s Quality Management System in the main office and at project sites.
• Performed Internal Audits and report to the management. Identified weak areas for improvement and provided solution to the management.
• Document and data control.
• Prepared Quality Plans for the technical submittals at tender stage as well as for awarded contracts.
• Prepared of project specific quality plans and ITPs for the projects.
• Issue Non-conformances and review disposal and corrective action. Maintain NCR register.
• Review construction materials, concrete/asphalt mix design etc.
• Liaise with Client, consultants, independent laboratories for materials approval, procurement and testing.

Scope of work:
Design and Construction Management of Chashma Nuclear Power Complex consisting of Reactor Building, Nuclear Auxiliary Buildings, Water Intake Structures, Water Outfall Structures (10 km long open lined channel and siphon wells), Ultimate Heat Sink, Cooling Towers, Emergency Cooling Supply Water Building, Nuclear Waste Storage Building, Power Grid Station, Steel Stack 110 m high, Met Tower 110 m high, Turbine building, Administration Building, Ware Houses, Workshops, Simulation Building, Exhibition Building, Mosque, Office Buildings, Training and Residential Complex, school and college building, fencing, roads, tunnels, culverts, and other infrastructure works.
Responsibilities:
• Liaise with authorities having jurisdiction.
• Hold progress and coordination meetings with project consultants, contractors, sub-contractors/suppliers and laboratories, and senior management for providing directions as necessary.
• Manage site team for attending hold/witness/control points.
• Review/approve of Design Modifications, Field Change Orders and Specification Interpretation.
• Approve design and construction submittals.
• Monitor progress of work against Master Schedule on MS-Project.
• Approve Consultant’s and Contractor’s quality plans.
