AAJ Technologies is a Microsoft Gold Partner / IBM Partner software services organization. It has a large offshore component for software development activities. AAJ technologies provides software development, project management and IT services management solutions to various clients. It has been organized into practices to ensure effective resource management and excellent delivery of the services to its customers.

I have served as “Practice Manager” for Application development practice. Responsibilities included managing end-to-end activities and associated metrics of the practice, overseeing onshore and offshore practice activities, Managing the creation and evolution of practice offerings & solution accelerator, working with sales and marketing teams, developing and maintaining R&D initiatives, managing financial goals and effective resource management & assignment.

JET Insure is a software product owned by AAJ Technologies and is implemented for insurance carriers. JET Insure is the quote-to-card insurance automation platform that equips health plans to sell multiple lines-of-business—individual/family plans, group plans, and specialty products—faster and more profitably, all on a single, unified system. The historic Affordable Care Act brings significant changes to the way payers conduct business. More than ever, health plans must control costs, grow wallet-share, and speed up quote-to-card processing to remain competitive in the insurance space. JET Insure allows healthcare payers to process larger numbers of applicants with increased speed, precision and efficiency.

I have been assigned as “Product Implementation Lead” for JET Insure implementations at various customer. I have managed multiple roll outs this product at large insurance carriers in USA. Product implementation life cycle focuses on taking care of mapping, configuration and customization of the product with customer needs. It also includes managing schedules, budget, releases, risks at various levels and communication needs for multiple stakeholders. Complex integration requirements with back-end system, hosting in data centers, training and adoption and all other aspects of product implementation are also considered.

I have been continuously learning in project management field. I achieved my PMP and continued following the progress, project management is now becoming more agile and is leaning toward adopting rapid / iterative approaches to deliver quick wins to the customer. Agile and Scrum are prevailing in industry, and keeping this in mind I kept working toward these. I am Certified ScrumMaster and recently earned the honor of Certified Scrum Professional (one of very few in the field).

Based on my product implementations at various customers, I have experience dealing with vendors, and being at the vendor side, I also have gone through services management aspects. Meeting SLAs, managing contract and managing the stakeholder expectations is the way to go.
