• Providing consultancy services to clients, end users and major stakeholders for example: Ford Motors, Jaguar Land Rover (JLR), Arcola Energy and The Carbon Trust.
• Creation and marketing of an innovative energy management and monitoring system for which the first prototype is currently in the test phase.
• Establishing production standards of efficiency for the utilisition of wastage and resources.
• Analysis of manufacturing process improvements using specialist theoretical concepts for example: Design for Manufacture (DfM) and Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA).
• Drafting whitepaper publications in energy efficiency within the manufacturing industries.
• Working with industrial members and the wider academic community through KTPs to disseminate knowledge.
• Using LV and HV lines for the design of electrical distribution and electronic engineering systems from inception, including the production of drawings, reports and specifications.
• Organizing and managing the setup of the new laboratory from scratch, planning and leading the development and improvement of works in order to showcase internally developed engineering systems in line with health and safety regulations.
• Developing business strategies and seeking out new sources of funding and potential collaborative partners. Using CRM for project management and financial auditing purposes.
• Representing the organisations with industry members, at conferences, exhibitions, symposiums and potential partners.
* Solar PV and thermal system designing for domestic and commercial sized projects.
* Using PVSOL and TSOL software for system design and shading modeling.
* Producing AutoCAD drawings for PV layout, schematics drawings and string layouts.
* Formulating 20 year SAP and PVGIS feed-in-tariff calculations, payback periods and Returns
on Investment (ROI).
* Carrying out site surveys and generating quotations with breakdown of costs, savings and
feed-in-tariff earnings.
* Review of technical reports and completion of technical audits at customer sites.
* Calculation and evaluation of system size including cable sizing, system efficiency and
performance assessment.
* Providing guidance and support to the installation team, ensuring a safe working
environment at the site is maintained and which meet industry regulations.
* Coordinating with the suppliers, ordering solar panels, inverters, mounting systems and
other accessories.
* Creating customer packs, filling out DNO forms and generating MCS certificate to customers.
* Promotion, sales and marketing of Solar PV, solar thermal, heat pumps and solar loan
products.
* Helping customers to achieve higher Energy Performance Certificates (EPC) ratings.
* Providing guidance to customers on energy efficiency measures and improvements for
example: Loft insulation, cavity and solid wall insulation and draught proofing.
* Explaining the benefits of financial incentives to customers for example: FITs, RHI, Renewable
Heath Premium Payment and Green Deal.
* Selling products to commercial contractors and architects.
* Devising strategies with architects and M&E contractors for modern energy efficient building
development to ensure adaption to climate conditions, for example: the maximisation and
minimisation of solar gains for heating and cooling respectively.
* Providing consultancy services to promote use of renewable and sustainable natural
resources like water, heat (geothermal), wind and solar.
* Assisting with events and conferences on global infrastructure projects (Energy and Built
Environment in particular).
* Drafting and researching infrastructure electronic journal publication (Renewable Energy)
articles including proof reading.
* Researching and recruiting major clients (financers, sponsors, legal advisors, manufacturers
and others) in the fields of power, oil & gas, renewables, transport, mining and other sectors.
* Analysing risks in global renewable energy projects for international conferences.
* Making presentations to senior managers and funders to explain risk registers, areas of
concern, methods employed in order to rectify these issues and creating action plans.
* Maintaining the IJ league table in line with fluctuating global market share.
* Drafting marketing campaigns, mail shots, interviewing, canvassing potential/current clients.
* Maintaining and updating the client online database. (Salesforce)
