As deputy director engineering, I have worked on different appointmentsin the department and have performed following responsibilities:
RADAR Setup: (Mangla)
• Supervise administrative and technical matters of DWSR
• Manage operational and maintenance tasks of DWSR and its allied gadgetry
• Oversee Meteorological Observatory Mangla Radar
• Maintenance of Automatic Weather Station (AWS) (Preventive & Corrective)
• Personnel management for effective and efficient technical administration
Meteorological Instruments Manufacturing Workshop: (Karachi)
• Managing all aspects of manufacturing unit by applying effective manufacturing techniques for the production of meteorological equipment
• Devise and implement robust plans to ensure precision in manufacturing and timely production remaining within the financial constraints and budgets
• Enhance production capability through effective management of personnel and equipment
• Provide technical and expert advice on maintenance issues related to machines & automatic weather stations
Workshops & Trainings:
• Operation, Maintenance and Application of Weather Radars, Weather Radar Workshop, TOKYO JAPAN (11th -13th Oct 2023)
• Hands on Training on Installation and Maintenance of Campbell Scientific Data Loggers and AWS Sensors (Automatic Weather Station)
• Hands on Training on Installation and Servicing of CAE Data Loggers and AWS Sensors (Early Warning System)
• Monitor and maintain all electrical and mechanical equipment (machinery) installed in the plant
• Testing and installation of new machines
• Supervise and maintain PLC (Siemens S7), sensors (transducers) and actuators of the extrusion-based Flakes plant
• Ensure smooth and reliable functionality of the manufacturing units and VFD’s installed in the facility

• Installation and commissioning of Gravimetric feeder for extrusion-based corn flakes weighing mechanism (17-21 Dec 2020)
• Improvisation of junk machine structure into gluing mechanism machine and installation of new packing line for Porridge packing (June - July 2020)
• Capacity enhancement of Porridge plant through process and machine optimization (May 2020)
• Previous Capacity: - 200Kg/ hr
• Enhanced Capacity: - 340Kg/hr
• Spraying mechanism improvisation of coating section (Apr-May 2020)
• Installation and commissioning of CCTV cameras (Mar 2019 and Oct 2017)
• Overhauling of Air Compressors (Mar 2018)
• Power factor improvement (June 2017)
• Main Electric Panel Refurbishment (panel installed in 1954) (June 2017)
• Designing and Installation of lift mechanism (Jul 2016)
• Conversion of whole production line on LPG due to shortage of Natural gas (Dec-Jan 14)
• Manufacturing of Vaporizers (locally and indigenously) to counter the phenomenon of icing on LPG cylinders (Jan14)
Worked as a Mechanical engineer/ program coordinator in IUSE (School of Engineering and Management Sciences) From May 2014 till Sep2014. The main responsibilities are highlighted below
• Coordination, planning and implementation of HND Mechanical program
• Lecturer of basic mechanical and automation subjects
Worked as a Lab Engineer in National University of Sciences and Technology (Department of Mechatronics Engineering, College of EME) from Sep 2011 to Aug 2013.Responsibilities included demonstrating the practical work for Industrial Automation lab (PLC and CNC), Robotics lab and Digital Logic Design lab along with maintaining the complete functionality of the lab equipment and machines. Apart from these responsibilities, management and administrative work were also part of daily responsibilities e.g. organization of different events (NERC (2012, 2013), ICRAI 2012, workshops). Supervision of final year projects was also one of the premier responsibilities (was part of OBD research group and Computer Numeric Control (CNC) group).
