I joined Halliburton Worldwide Ltd on 15th October 2014, currently working in the capacity of General Accountant.
My main responsibilities are as follows:
Follow ups from customer for the payment of outstanding invoices and applying payments to the Customer Accounts;
Meeting target Collections;
Monitoring & Verifying Vendor's WHT deductions & subsequently depositing it in State Bank of Pakistan;
Being a Management Accountant of two PSLs I am involved in budgeting, month end cost reviews, cost saving
analysis & aiding the PSLs in the Bidding process;
Posting of Journal Entries in SAP and GLs Review and clearance to ensure appropriate GL ratings;
Collating, preparing and interpreting reports, budgets, accounts, commentaries and forecasts and variance analysis using
ESSbase;
Updating the forecasts and the LTFs in Hyperion on a bi-weekly basis;
Responsible for preparation of the company's monthly Tax computation;
Working on the effective utilization of excessive cash. Managing PKR funds in a way to minimize the cash at bank &
maximizing the return on the cash available in the bank;
Managing Internal & External Audits.
I have diversified professional experience as an auditor. I was responsible for all facets of audit and related engagements assigned,
from initial planning to the conclusion of examination and reporting thereon. An overview of my responsibilities there is follows:
Overall planning of audits, understanding & co-developing expectations and designing audit strategies;
Supervision, review and finalization of assurance engagements including preparation of deliverables;
Consultation on significant matters with various professionals such as lawyers, valuers, tax advisors, actuaries and IT experts;
Assisting clients in preparation of financial statements in accordance with the applicable financial reporting framework
including compliance with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and directives of regulatory authorities;
Providing basic advisory services regarding: investments, hedging against forex/market risks, costing of product, pricing
strategies, employee compensation plan, taxation, corporate law, foreign currency remittances, and other complex transaction;
Establishing positive working environment by building solid relationships with team members, clients and other stakeholders;
On-the-job training and professional development of staff.
