Streetscape International LLC (One of the group companies of JDD group companies) is a leading supplier of decorative street poles, street furniture and traffic lights in UAE and Australia.
My job responsibilities include:
• Preparation of financial statements under the applicable IFRS and the ISAs and ensuring that all period end formalities are performed and recorded timely & accurately.
• Supervision and Consolidation of Accounts of associate companies.
• Preparation and filling of VAT return of the Company as per UAE VAT laws.
• Preparation and monitoring Projects through project cashflows and budgets.
• Managing and liaison with bank for facilities such as Bill Discounting, Bank Guarantees and LCs.
• Processing of monthly payroll through WPS.
• Managing account receivables (AR) and payables (AP).
• Inventory Management and liaison with the warehouse team to keep smooth movement in stock.
• Making sure that all the policies and procedures are in place and being followed by all staff. Drafting of new policies as per organization requirements.
101 Management consultants provides Accountancy and Management consultancy to its holding company SHEFFIED HOLDINGS LIMITED. (The leading Real Estate developers in UAE)
My job responsibilities included:
• Maintained and prepared monthly, quarterly and yearly managements accounts.
• Preparation and finalization of Financial statements according to IAS’s, and IFRS’s.
• Responsible for cash management of the company and visa related expenses.
• Supervision of the payroll of the Company.
• Development and implementation of Internal Controls Systems (ICS) with Internal auditors.
• Participated in Implementation of ERP system in the company.
• Managed Project related Account receivables (AR) and Account Payables (AP).
• Prepared and monitored overdue balances, delay fees calculations and forfeited incomes.
• Preparing and issuing LPOs and contracts for suppliers, contractors and sub-contractors.
• Corresponding, scheduling and negotiating with Project suppliers and contractors for material deliveries and variation in quality and quantities against BOQ and LPO.
• Project related and Consolidated MIS reporting of the followings:
-Variation reports (variance analysis)

During my tenure in firm I participated in different assignments (including external, internal audit and consultancy services) which enabled me to gain firm grip on Auditing, Financial and Management reporting developing, implementing and monitoring internal control systems (ICS) and taxation. In this context some tasks performed by me are as below:
External Audit Assignments:
(Following activities were performed on clients ENEM Stores, Sweet water (Pvt) Ltd Heera insulations (Pvt) Ltd and General Cables (Pvt) Ltd.)
• Conducting of audit in accordance to applicable regulatory frame work and international Standards of Auditing (ISA’s)
• Obtained sufficient appropriate audit evidence through substantive, analytical procedures, test of detail and physical stock counts in row, work in process and finished product.
• Valuations of Assets (Fixed and current, finished and work in progress stocks)
• Perform detailed audit procedures on employee’s payroll.
• Evaluation of sufficiency and effectiveness of the design and operations through test of controls
Internal Audit Assignments:
(Following activities were performed on clients ENEM Stores, Gourmet Bakers Pakistan)
• Heading internal audit team, Developing, implementing and monitoring ICS.
• Conducting regular and Surprise audit activities to identify weaknesses, addresses risks and provide suggestions to improve ICS
• Preparation and implementation of policies and procedures for sales counter activities, cash handling and cash payments to suppliers, Petty Cash and Inventories.
• Supervising the preparation and verifying monthly Management accounts and Annual Financials According to IFRSs and IASs.
• Verifying the payroll of the company
• Supervising and verifying monthly sales commission details
• Verifying and approving vouchers like purchase, sales and cash payment vouchers and GRNs
Consultancy:
(Following activities were performed on clients Ambition apparels (Pvt) Ltd, Hameed Hospital)
• Maintaining general ledger and individual account ledgers of Manual and computerized accounting systems
• Maintaining full set of accounts up to finalization.
• Preparing Weekly and Monthly bank reports and Cash flow statements and financial Budgeting.
• Filing fortnightly tax return, monthly declaration statements, income tax and sales tax
• Applying cut off procedures, Variance analysis.
