- Manage day-to-day accounting operations.
- Ensure Accuracy, Completeness and Timeliness of all accounting records and sub-ledgers (cash, receivables, payables, inventory, payroll, fixed assets, lease schedules …etc.)
- Ensure timely Account Reconciliations with banks, vendors, customers, and related parties.
- Maintain P.O.C. and long-term contracts revenue recognition.
- Maintain Cost Allocation to Projects & Cost Centers.
- Maintain inter-division and inter-company charges & back charges.
- Maintain monthly Depreciation, Amortization, Accruals and Deferrals.
- Maintain the Trial Balance / GL Adjustments.
- Maintain and update the chart of accounts.
- Maintain and file VAT & Withholding tax returns.
- Ensure compliance with IFRS and tax regulations,
- Manage & ensure timely reporting of all required financial information.
- Ensure an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close.
- Finalization of annual Trial Balance and Preparation of Financial Statements.
- Coordinate Audit Activities with external auditors and facilitate financial statements validation.
- Review Cost calculation and posting for the local Production.
- Ensure timely recording & reconciliations with suppliers.
- Weekly reporting of vendor movement & aging schedules.
- Ensure proper recording and matching of Sales Invoices & collections.
- Weekly reporting of Receivables Aging schedule.
- Administration of Monthly Payroll, Vacation settlements, Air Tickets and End of Service Benefits Provisions & Payments.
- VAT returns preparation, validation, and monthly submission.
- Ensure that all relevant General Ledger Accounts are updated and match with subsidiary records.
- Ensure proper recording of Accruals, and Amortization of Deferred revenues and expenses.
- Maintain Fixed Asset schedules and recording of Depreciation.
- Support month-end and year-end closing process.
- Assist in the finalization of monthly and annual Trial Balance.
- Assist in preparation and reporting of Financial Statements.
- Assist in setting up and monitoring of annual and monthly expense Budgets on branch level.
- Maintain adherence to the internal controls and Standard Operation Procedures.
- Maintain Accounts Payable transactions, Match payments with invoices, and prepare aging reports.
- Maintain Accounts Receivable transactions, Match payments with invoices, and prepare aging reports.
- Follow up on salesmen targets and help on preparing commission schedules.
- Prepare payroll sheets and adjust it for any deductions or any advances paid to employees.
- Follow up on advances paid for expenses and make closing entries.
- Supervise branch accountants, verify invoices and expense records, Review cash balances, bank deposits, Post transactions and Generate system reports.
- Assist in finalization of Trial Balance, and the preparation of Financial Statements.
Earliest Practical experience in Accounting, gained through sales invoicing, general expense recording, and assisting in Accounts Payable & Receivable reconciliations.
