Sr. HSE Supervisor (Technical Professional-Admin) - Planning & Support Team P&F - LX02
Al Kout Industrial Projects (AIP), is a regional leader in the Chlor-Alkali industry in production and supply of various hazardous chemicals like chlorine, HCL, Caustic soda, Sodium Hypochlorite & Hydrogen.
AIP is an ISO Certified company for Quality Management System (ISO 90001:2008), Environmental Management System (ISO 14001:2004), Occupational Health & Safety Management System (OHSAS 18001:2007) & Food Safety Management System (ISO 22000:2005).
Roles & Responsibilities:
Risk assessment carried out for different activities at site.
Daily routine HSE job site Inspections to identify unsafe actions / conditions and enforcing remedial actions.
Accident & Incident investigations, carrying out root cause analysis and suggesting / implementing corrective and preventive actions.
Review of procedures in line with site condition and standard practices to ensure that the lifting tools, equipment and tackles are meeting the standard requirements. Also co-ordinate for arranging inspection of such items by the competent person and maintain records & certificates.
Ensure the compliance of HSE and legal requirements and set plans.
Ensure PTW implementation for all identified non routine jobs being carried out at site.
Preparing Periodical HSE statistical reports like :
o Weekly HSE reports.
o Preparing Monthly & Annual HSE Reports including HSE statistics in Graphical formats.
o Preparing Quarterly HSE reports and Statistics for the use of company and the Ministry of Social Affairs.
Coordinating Motivational Programs like HSE awards for best HSE performer, so that the HSE information is cascaded to all levels of organization.
Near miss reporting and its assessment including root cause analysis and implementing corrective / preventive actions.
Inspection of Scaffolds to check their compliance to standards / requirements.
Inspection of Fall Arrestors and their functioning.
Conducting HSE Induction trainings to the new entrants.
Conducting Safety Talks & classroom trainings.
The Company undertakes Major projects in Oil & Gas, MEW, MPW, Refinery Maintenance, Commissioning, Mechanical, Civil, Electrical & Instrumentation Works like Tanks, Cross country pipe line, Road projects, Fabrication, Erection, Structural and Laying of Pipe Lines.
Support the HSE Manager and team with planning, coordinating and implementing of effective HSE policies, guidelines and procedures to ensure that the department objectives are met.
Provide support to Project and Operation team in all aspects of safety, occupational health, safety and environmental issues.
Attend pre-job, planning and client meetings as required on HSE related matters.
Provide support to the dept on the implementation of Company-wide HSE initiatives eg. ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, etc.
Assist with developing HSE plans that comply with Company policies and procedures as well as client requirements.
Ensure training, tool box meetings, and drills are implemented.
Assist in the development of project specific HSE procedures.
Conduct HSE training and orientation to all new employees.
Ensure all work sites are HSE compliant with Company policies and safety standards.

OVERSEAS SHUTDOWN WORK EXPERIENCES:
• EQUATE Petrochemical Company Kuwait, for Kharafi National as Safety Supervisor from October - November 2011.
• Worked as a Safety Officer in Oman Methanol Plant with Proman Oman for the month of October 2010.
• Qatar Ras Laffan Industrial City as Safety Officer for Sejong Corporation in IWPP Project Qatar from June-July 2009
• EQUATE Petrochemical Company Kuwait, for HOT as Safety Supervisor from May 2008 to November 2008.
• KNPC (Kuwait National Petroleum Company) Kuwait as a Safety Supervisor from the period of February 2008 to April 2008.
• WWTP EQUATE Project with M/s ISCO, Kuwait as Safety Supervisor from the period of November 2006 to May 2007.
