Along-with my studies I work as a freelance Architect/BIM Manager.
Worked as a Project Manager for the construction of Meadows Villas Lahore which is one of the most prestigious project of Bahria Town.
Worked as a Project Manager in a team of 25 people with one senior
architect, two co-architects, a senior civil engineer and five draughtsmen directly under my supervision.
My key responsibilities were collaboration with in-house design team and on-site construction team for the construction of seven storey head quarter building on a 30, 000 sq. ft. site for Telenor, a mobile telecom company, in Lahore. The role involved decision making, problem solving, reporting to senior management, and working on strict deadlines.
Along with it, I designed and executed interior details like false ceilings, flooring and entrance/reception hall as well as stair lobby.
Worked initially as Junior Architect and was later promoted to Senior Architect. Working in a team of 50+ people including Architects, Engineers and supporting staff. Major project in which I was involved in designing and detailing modular prefabricated composite structures include:
-Extension in Pearl Continental Hotel, Lahore (addition of 7th and 8th floor)
-Mr. Khawar Zaman’s Residence, Gulberg I, Lahore.
-Eden Villas (Model Houses) at Lake City, Raiwind, Lahore.
-Roofing at Cotton Web and Creative Group, Lahore.
-Secondary School prototype for earthquake affected areas of Azad Kashmir.
Worked as a collaborative In-house Architect in a team of 20 people including architects draughtsmen and engineers. My main assignments included generation of 3D models and working drawings.
This is the first post-graduate course in BIM in the UK. This course benefitted from many lectures from leading BIM industry leaders and helped me in getting selected as campus trainee for Tekla. My Dissertation titled 'Sustainable Houses for Hot-Humid Climate' is under progress.
My Thesis was titled Walton Aerodrome in which I designed an airport at the site of an old not-under-current-use airport of Lahore. Among the top 5% of my class throughout the course.
