The basic purpose of this trainee engineering program is to get experience related to the operation of Gas turbine, and combined cycle system. The design of the combined cycle system is of GE.
Completed one month training as an internee in Transmission, Distribution and Generation sections which included sessions, briefings, practical and presentations.
Primarily Focused areas which were covered during this training period were process of gas turbines, steam turbines, Generators & Transformers (Function, Cooling & Protection) and understanding of Switch Yard (Accessories & Operations).
We visited different switch yards where briefings were given about maintenance and working of Grid station, safety devices and other components installed over there.
Worked as intern in EHV Power Transformer Department where learnt about Power Transformer winding, core and body production, assembly and final testing.
