1.To ensure HSE policies and procedures compliance (Permit to Work, Environment Management Systems, OSHAS etc) in the shift.
2.To participate in annual departmental Safety Programme. To participate in Safety Audit Programme.
3.To control the process parameters within the specified guidelines of standard operating conditions.
4.To monitor and operate equipments such as Reactors, Fired Heaters, Boilers, Compressors, Pumps, Fractionation Columns, blowers, etc. From the control room, in coordination with the field operators.
5.To handle emergencies, start up and shut down under the direction of Shift Supervisor.
6.To carry out joint exercise of loop checking, logics checking for the process equipments and packages.
7.To interact with laboratory for sample analysis and notifies deviations to Shift Supervisor.
8.To take corrective actions in case of any deviation or abnormality in process parameter, quality parameter under the direction of Shift Supervisor. Keeps continuous track of alarms and alarm history to sustain plant operation and mitigate causes of deviations. Responsible for logging of critical process parameters in his area of work.
9.To conduct on job training of field operators on panel.
10.To record and suggest improvements for operations and control functions, based on his operational experiences.
11.To comply with ISO, QMS procedures.
12.To discharge his responsibilities during plant on site emergenices as per plant on site emergency procedures.
13.To work extended hours as required by the department (in case of no relievers, Start up leave coverage etc.
15.To take charge as Operation Shift Supervisor as per Departmental requirement.
