•Responsibilities included
•
•Planning of Greenfield networks for feeder and distribution network with splitters, P2P and Planning Area i.e. POPs,
•Installation and commissioning of ESRI ArcGIS for OSP planning, design and maintenance. Automatic provisioning of new GPON customers.
•Supervising Multiple teams for FTTH Survey, Design and Installations at customer premises
•Leased Fiber Connectivity: Commissioning and acceptance testing of dark fiber circuit for End-to-End connectivity
•Taking care of ROWs (Aerial and underground), and other OSP related issues.
•Budget preparation, Request for Proposals calling(RFP), Bidding Process, Technical evaluations
•Liaison with procurement for contract preparation and with other stake holder departments
•Preparation of BOQs,
•Fiber optic link budgeting, Jointing & Testing, Connectorization of fiber optic networks.
•Conducting OSP survey to keep record of all OSP units (route, Pits, Cabinets etc.) in the ArcGIS software.
•Helping teams to locate any underground route or pit when needed using the GIS network diagrams.
•Making, updating and modifying AutoCAD drawings of OSP as built as per the requirements.
•Civil works, Deployment of fiber optic networks, Access, Metro as well as longhaul networks
•Managing project teams for timely completion of all inter-related tasks
•Provide Technical assistance to various organizations for their NAT, Multi NAT and NAPT Solutions over different routers.
•Designing splice plans, patching plans and maintaining fiber record.
•Maintaining records of dark fiber connectivity.
•Making floor plans for Co-Locations to properly utilize space available and putting equipment according to need.
•Conducting external surveys and making cost estimates for home and corporate customers.
•Making and modifying plans and feasibility reports for network expansions.
•Designing and implementation of fiber optic backed networks for indoor and outside plant applications
•Research and development on different technology related topics like, BPON, GPON, FTTU, FTTC, EoC (Ethernet Over Coaxial), CMTS, IPTV and DVB-C STB (Both HD and SD) to decide and suggest management about future proof technologies
•Responsibilities included
•On call technical support to DSL and FTTU customers in Technical Assistance Center (TAC).
•Cisco BRAS Monitoring and Troubleshooting.
•Traffic monitoring and Bandwidth management on DSLAMs (Alcatel/Paradyne/CISCO).
•To check the status of core routers and other devices by using Network Management System (NMS).
•Responding to technical queries using standard procedures.
•Configuration of Customer Premises Equipment (Thomson, Alcatel, Zexel, Cisco, Linksys) for both DSL as well as FTTU customers
•Taking all possible measures to timely resolve customer query and processing them in accordance with our established procedures and policies.
•Comprehensive understanding and knowledge of using Customer relationship Management (CRM) software to deal with incoming calls.
