Achievement Highlights:

1. Initiated a major capital Control System Migration project budgeted up to more than US$6 million. The scope is to upgrade almost 200 Rockwell Automation Allen-Bradley PLC5 processors and their associated HMI/SCADA system into Rockwell Automation Allen-Bradley ControlLogix platform and Factory Talk View Platform. The project is expected to complete within five years without dedicated plant shutdown.
2. Finished the very own blue-print documents from the scratch of a real-time automatic tracking and system reporting application that detecting, analyzing and reporting process parameters deviation for supporting operational decision making. This system runs based on PIMS hystorical data.
3. Improved company standards with regard to PLC cabinet specification and PLC logic code writing by introducing Add-On templates for motor controls.

Key Responsibilities:

- Comply with all approved engineering procedures, standards and policies in Engineering Project area with primarily focus on the aspects of Enviromental, Health and Safety (EHS).
- Perform safety audits and safety risk assessment to ensure safety standards are maintained or improved.
- Design and review of automation, control and instrumentation engineering work from initial conception and specification through commissioning phase of the project with good quality of deliverables, meets company standards and National / International codes & standards.

- Identify, develop, justify and implement cost saving initiatives for engineering work & equipment in area of process plant.
- Identify system obsolescence and developing strategies for migration or replacement accordingly.
- Develop and review of Engineering Work Package (EWP), Bill of Material (BoM), Purchase Request (PR), Commissioning Procedure, Risk Assessment, HAZOP Study, and other engineering related documents.

3. Continued improvement of the online electrical insulation monitoring system of furnace-roof thus successfully decrease more than 50% of unnecessary plant breakdown. The furnace-roof delay was previously the worst delay, but soon become the least significant delay after completion of the improvement.
4. Performed key roles as quality control coordinator of PLC panel assembly and software commissioning supervisor in the successfully recovery of process plant control system following a fire incident resulted burnt-out of seven PLC cabinets.
