Electronics Engineer Lead
• Involved with future vehicle concept evaluation, detailed design, competitor benchmarking and vehicle studies, alternate fuel vehicle, fuel efficient engines, hybrid/electric/plug in electric vehicles, value engineering and control and diagnostics development
• In-depth knowledge of current automotive trends and best practices
• Train and mentor fellow engineers in simulation tools used for rapid prototyping
• Write service and operational procedures, component specifications, create test plans and perform validation testing.
• Analyze, troubleshoot and root cause analysis of different field problems related parts failure
• Supervise, review and approve contractor and supplier work as per the requirements and engineering principles.
• Support and troubleshoot any field issues and warranty issues and conduct root cause analysis of returned parts and initiate and implement change requests for future improvements

• Involved with renewable energy project involving use of HV energy storage system, power inverter and transformers
• Work with department of energy for charging system infrastructure.
• Prepared and reviewed single line drawings for electrical systems, completed bills of materials (BOMs), engineering change orders (ECOs) and notice of revisions (NORs).
• Support validation testing and review test data for root cause analysis of any issues found.
• Prepare and present technical reports to management on any issues found and their root cause analysis
• Involved with the design and development of high voltage and high current (DC) electrical circuits using engineering principles and best practices.
• Write test plans, conduct testing and generate test reports and suggest improvements to the product design
• Release documents including engineering releases, PPAP and PSW.
• Conduct quality and reliability analysis such as DFMEA, FMEA, 8D & APQP.
• Worked under Global Hybrid Cooperation for hybrid vehicle technologies jointly developed by General Motors, Daimler, and Chrysler LLC, and BMW.
• Conduct training on electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), Electrostatic discharge (ESD) and grounding/earthing techniques used by the joint venture of three OEMs.
• Created proposals on the Hybrid projects and scheduled different product design phases with suppliers.
• Preparation and review of tenders and quotes.
• Interface with suppliers to review specifications and quotes on different components.
• Writing and testing of HV safety requirements based on international standards.
• Participated in Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMAE) of High voltage safety requirements.
• Involved with the root cause analysis of various issues found during validation process.
• Researched engineering information to develop training materials on vehicle electrical systems for current and future production.
• Delivers training to production employees on-site at clients manufacturing facilities.
• Provided expert on-the-job coaching to repair technicians relative to determination of root cause and vehicle repair procedures pertaining to difficult electrical system malfunctions
• Fulfilled the role of a technical lead providing the client with expertise to help resolve engineering, product, and production issues during all phases of development build, product launch and production.
