• Four years of Project Engineering experience with Hydro One Networks Inc. (Canada’s largest Power Utility which owns and operates 30, 000 KM of High Voltage Transmission Lines Network and 300 HV Substations to deliver 27, 000 MW of power in Ontario). Working with Project Engineering Department of Design & Engineering Division and managing internal and external engineering resources to deliver detailed engineering designs for major capital and maintenance projects.
• Fifteen years of professional experience in planning, designing, engineering and project management of Transmission & Distribution delivery system in Royal Commission and Power & Water Utility Company serving Yanbu Industrial city, host to major industrial/petrochemical plants. Prepared operational and capital expenditure programs for expansion and enhancement of transmission and distribution system in Yanbu. Planned and designed electric power infrastructure required to serve new industries, housing projects and commercial centers. Prepared project proposals and performed project management activities on Transmission & Distribution network construction projects. Prepared annual budget for T&D department’s operation and maintenance activities. Used SAP-Project System, Plant Maintenance, Industry Solution for Utilities (Customer Care & Service) and Finance-Controlling modules for performing different activities of T&D department. Acted as key person on ISO-9001&14001 certification projects.
• Nine years of engineering experience in design of high voltage substations in Pakistan Water & Power Development Authority, single largest utility serving all Pakistan except Karachi with peak load demand of 10, 000MW approx.Conducted site surveys and performed feasibility studies for new high voltage substations. Prepared complete design of high voltage substations including electrical drawings, calculations, material take-offs, technical specifications and cost estimates. Designed more than fifty substations of different voltages including expansions and augmentations. Actively participated in supervision of erection, testing and commissioning activities for many substation projects.
