 Provide first line safety coverage for all constructions, operations and maintenance activities being performed at site. Liaise with project management on implementation and enforcement of applicable HSE standards and environment regulations.
 Provide safety engineering advices to ensure that risks to personnel are reduced to a level that is as low as reasonably practicable (ALARP), thereby ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and company policies.
 Provide input to and in cases facilitate HAZID, HAZOP and SIL studies; provide specialist expertise to asset/project teams in relation to major accident hazards, safety critical elements and performance standards.

 When called upon, participate in accident / incident investigation, employing appropriate recognized techniques, to ensure root causes are identified and remedial actions implemented.
 Provide advocacy in relation to technical safety improvements and deployment of new tools and techniques, to ensure good engineering practice is maintained and to promote continuous improvement as demanded by the company’s management systems.
 Conduct Emergency drills to make employees habitual of emergency response procedures.
 Ensure all contractors activities are compliance with approved HSE plan.
 Ensure the implementation of safe operating procedure by operatives.
 Guide HSE personnel to achieve optimum positive result.
 Encourage the people to become Hazard Identifier and Hazard Informer to develop safe working environment.
 Work together to inculcate HSE culture in all employees.
