I am basically an accomplished fighter pilot and have over 36 years of experience in the Pakistan Air Force (PAF). I was enrolled in PAF and joined training in March 1983. During my career, I have remained in various Field, Command and Staff Appointments.
Overall, during my service, I have risen from leading field units at tactical level i.e. command of fighter Squadron and fighter Wing (both Aggressor units including ground and flying units) to the Operational level by commanding two Bases i.e. PAF Bases Masroor and PAF Base Korangi in Karachi. Furthermore, this experience extends to various senior staff appointments at the Air Headquarters. My last rank is Air Commodore (US equivalent of O-7)
My education ranges from Professional Military Education and extends to National Defence University with a Master’ Degree, a Master’s degree from USA, graduation from Royal College of Defence Studies (RCDS) London and another Master’s degree from Kings College London. These, along with my experience which extends from participating and conduct of various operations, training and staff appointments at the tactical, conventional and sub-conventional level to eventually the strategic and nuclear domains of military operations. I have vast Operations, Plans, HR, Management and writing experience. I also have rich experience as a part of several coordination committees at the Joint Staff Headquarters, Ministry of Defence and Ministry of Foreign Affairs. I have also participated and led several teams in foreign country dialogues including a part of Strategic Dialogue with USA.
With this experience, I expect that I would be able to positively contribute towards bringing stability in the organization or workplace employed while connecting at personal level with peers and other parallel organizations towards accomplishment of requirements. I therefore seek a challenging career that utilizes my skills and abilities while providing an opportunity to work in a professional environment; learn new traits; and yet fulfill overall needs and requirements of the organization employing
Presently, I am on Leave Prior to Retirement (LPR) which will end 02 August, 2019. However, I have requisite NOC from PAF and am cleared and ready to join any organization immediately. Currently, I am residing at PAF Base, Faisal, Karachi.
