Muhammad Tariq Khan

In my 31 years of distinguished service in Operations Branch of Pakistan Navy, I have accumulated extensive experience in various operational roles. This includes my service on various command, staff, security and administration/ management positions on different ships of Pakistan Navy, at various static units of Pak Marines (responsible for security of sensitive installations of Navy and ground combat), at Naval Headquarters, Islamabad as Director Security Operations and as Director Naval Training. I have recently retired on 10 Jan 25. Based on my background, knowledge and experience, I am seeking challenging security/ administration assignment in any large prestigious organisation/ Naval Forces/ Coast Guards/ Marines Corps of any GCC country.
Prominent positions held and experiences gained during last 15 years of service in Pakistan Navy include:
a. Commanding Officer, Pakistan Maritime Security Agency (PMSA) Ships BARKAT and REHMAT, Karachi. Mar 2009 - Sep 2010. Led various operations at sea including Search & Rescue, anti-poaching, anti-smuggling and against other illegal activities.
b. Executive Officer, PNS HIMALAYA (Boot Camp Training Centre), Karachi. Sep 2010 - Sep 2011. As second-in-command, ensured administration, organisation, security, discipline, and smooth conduct of daily routine activities of recruits at Training Centre.
c. Directing Staff (Navy), Command & Staff College, Quetta. Sep 2011 - Aug 2014. Imparted instructions to staff course participants of Pak Army on basics of naval warfare.
d. Director Operations, HQs Pakistan Maritime Security Agency, Karachi. Aug 2014 - Aug 2015. Planned and supervised various sea operations as per Federal Government mandate assigned to Pakistan Maritime Security Agency.
e. Commanding Officer, 21st Air Defence Battalion, Karachi. Aug 2015 - Nov 2017. Managed Ground-Based Air Defence of various sensitive installations. Conducted successful firing of various SHORADS including RCGs during different large scale exercises of Pakistan Navy.
f. Project Director, Naval Anchorage Karachi. Nov 2017 - Jun 2019. Supervised land matters and development work of Naval Anchorage Karachi, a housing project of Pakistan Navy.
g. Commanding Officer, 6th Force Protection Battalion, Ormara, Balochistan. Jun 2019 - May 2021. Ensured security of Jinnah Naval Base Ormara, security of coastline from Ormara to Sonmiani, security of under construction Dam at Basol, Balochistan, security of Naval Air Station, Ormara and security of Makran Coastal Highway (Basol-Ras Malan Sector). Established various security posts along Makran Coastal Highway and coastline to beef up security of the area. Planned and led in various Area Sanitisation Operations in vicinity of Ormara/ Makran Coastal Highway.
h. Commanding Officer, 4th Force Protection Battalion, Karachi. May 2021 - Jun 2021. Ensured security of Greater Karsaz area, which includes multiple important naval installations.
j. Director Security Operations, Naval Headquarters, Islamabad. Jul 2022 - Aug 2023. Formulated security policies, plans and procedures for implementation across the entire Pakistan Navy, procured security equipment for field units and supervised implementation of various security related projects worth hundreds of millions of Rupees including installation of Perimetric Security Surveillance (PSS) Systems and installation of Personnel Access Control/ Vehicles Access Control Systems (PACs/ VACs) to improve overall physical security of various sensitive installations of Pakistan Navy.
k. Director Naval Training (Inland), Naval Headquarters, Islamabad. Jul 2024 - Jan 2025. Managed inland training of officers and other ranks of Pakistan Navy, revised syllabi of various training courses, and formulated various training policies for implementation across Pakistan Navy.
