• Assist RE to ensure resident construction supervision of works
which includes;
◦ Irrigation & drainage Schemes
◦ River training /flood protection works including J-head
spurs, solid stone studs, inverted hockey, flood
embankments etc.
◦ Hydraulic structures (head regulators, falls, outlets,
culverts, inlets, bridges etc.)
◦ Concrete lining and side protections of various
Irrigation Channels etc.
◦ Rehabilitation /remodeling of Irrigation Channels
including earthwork & protection of vulnerable reaches
etc.
◦ Small Dams (for irrigation purposes).
• Resident construction supervision in accordance with
approved construction drawings and technical specifications.
• Review the construction drawings and guide the Contractors
representatives for implementation of same at site in true
spirit. Assistance in preparation of As-Built Drawings.
• Guide the Contractors representative in day-to-day site
problems, technical issues and immediately solve the site
issues.
• Ensure that the Contractor follow the duly approved drawings,
L-section etc. so as to minimize the Variations in scope.
• Review/ checking of Price Variation cases in accordance with
the Contract Clauses.
• Review of PC-I, Engineer Estimate & Variation orders.
• Review of Contractors Program, Construction Schedules &
Method Statements. Ensure that the Contractors adhere with
the work schedules and achieve the targets/mile stones.
• Base line data verification and conditional surveys.
• Resident supervision of sites (canal lining, buildings, flood
bunds, etc.).
• Ensure the Quality Control / Quality Assurance at different
sites.
• Monitoring of Physical & Financial Progress.
• IPC Verification and checking of Bills.

Monitoring of the Punjab Irrigation Department Annual Development
Program, resident construction supervision, review of construction drawings,
quality control, and progress monitoring.

Supervision of field tests (hand auger, percussion boring, rotary boring, FDT,
SPT, test pits) and making of boring plans.

Site engineer at various road projects.
