Currently working in a Finance and Accounting Supervisor capacity reporting directly to Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

Roles and Responsibilities include:

 Monthly closings and reporting of financial information both stand alone and consolidated of all the entities across GCC as per the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
 Taxation both direct and indirect and also working as VAT Project implementation manager for GCC operations.
 Financial and Management reporting, Preparation of Budgets, Cash flows, Forecasts, Opex & Capex reports and Projects & Investments appraisals.
 Computation of Product Costing and allocation of overheads for both Manufacturing and trading products imported from UK, Lebanon and France.
 Computation of Cost Volume and Profitability analysis and also reviewing adequacy of discounts policy.
 Transfer pricing establishment among the Group entities for profit optimization and cost allocations.
 Maintaining and implementing inventory production and handling controls for all GCC warehouses and Factories.
 Working closely with Senior Management Team for acquisitions, mergers and collaborations.
 Analyzing and documenting the reasons of variances and devising corrective measures.
 Establishing diversified Accounting Processes and Operating Procedures for newly launched Manufacturing Units and operations including ERP requirements and implementation.
 Reviewing general ledgers at monthly/yearly closings for reconciliations and analyzing major variations from budget.
 Ensuring Balance sheet controls and Profit & Loss statement integrity.
 Statutory/Internal audits and compliance with local laws.
 Working closely with ERP team for maintaining efficient ERP system that adequately fulfills changing business requirements.
 Monitor the general ledger transactions to ensure proper accounting in order to present a true and accurate financials of the company.

Worked with KPMG Lower Gulf Limited (Dubai) Big 4 audit firm in a senior associate capacity in Audit & Assurance department.

Detailed responsibilities were as follows:

• Auditing financial statements of different public and private companies of Manufacturing, FMCG, Retail, Services and Construction sector in accordance with IFRS
• Developing and maintaining relationship with clients;
• Execution of engagement reviews;
• Understanding of client’s business and industry;
• Performing variance analysis at the Group/Company level
• Ensuring cost effectiveness by staying within the budget limit.
• Involved in consolidation process and reconciliation of financial statements of subsidiaries with parent companies and review of accounting treatments
• Review the operations of entities and designed internal control and reporting framework.
• Involved in decision making process of various accounting, auditing, client handling and team management challenges during audit engagements.
• Preparation and review of financial statements both standalone and consolidated.
• Application of International Financial Reporting Standards IFRSs and IASs
• User knowledge and experience of Oracle, SAP and other accounting software.
• Preparation and reviewing of budgets, forecasts, management reports, internal audit reports and investment appraisals.
• Identification of business and organizational risks and developing preventive and corrective measures.
• Preparation and reviewing of reconciliations with suppliers and customers.
• Preparation and reviewing the accuracy of costing of products and services.
• Taxation services both direct and indirect VAT.

I was involved in statutory audits of various multinational and local companies under local regulations as well as foreign group reporting in accordance with the Instructions of Group Auditors for KPMG Global Clients. Detailed responsibilities were as follows:
• Planning, auditing and finalization of statutory audits in compliance with Local Laws and regulations, KPMG Audit Manual (KAM), International Financial Reporting Standard (IFRS) and International Standards on Auditing (ISA);
• Strategic evaluation of clients, using SWOT, PEST and Five Force analysis techniques for identification of significant business risks; and
• Comprehensive system study of the business processes of entities, identifying weaknesses and making recommendations.
