•Provides specialist support in all aspects of engineering to the Lead Facilities Engineer. Works including the upgrading/modification of plant equipment.
•Provides core engineering expertise in the development of proposals for modifications or additions to existing equipment and systems.
•Advises in review of specifications & design of new projects including liaison with outside consultants.
•Advises in studies to justify upgrade/replacement of plant equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation of system.
•Advises Lead Facilities engineer by providing inputs on project / upgrade budgets.
•Provides supervision/co-ordination of project modification work undertaken by external consultants/contractors.
•Conducts other similar or related duties such as liaison with other Operations and Field Support staff to ensure compliance with current international code for hazardous environment and with latest development in the engineering discipline.
•Provides specialist support to Operations in trouble shooting major problem areas.
•Develops in-house conceptual and detail designs of Plant Change Requests.
•Develops comprehensive preventive maintenance programmes for successful implementation.
•Successfully implements policy of QP on training and development of Qatari employees.
Responsible for various projects in HIMA regional facility centre mainly in oil & gas and petrochemical sectors. The responsibilities include from Project management to installation, commissioning and troubleshooting of HIMA Systems. Major Projects completed are Petroleum Development Oman (PDO) facilities, HDPE & Methanol Plant Facilities in Iran. OMV Gas Plant and FFBL revamp project for complete up-gradation and project management in Pakistan, Saudi Davy Company and KOC for some logic modifications in ESD & logging.
Preparation of technical scope of work, review of bids, review of documents submitted by the contractor for various instrumentation equipment like DCS, PLC, ESD and BMS systems etc and approval of all technical specifications and drawings. Participation in FAT & SAT for major equipment of the plant.
Leading a team of engineers and technicians to undertake maintenance and trouble shooting of following instrumentation systems Bailey Infi-90 Distributed Control System, Hima H-51 Emergency Shutdown System GE Mark V Control System, Allen Bradley PLC based Burner management System of two boilers and Field Instrumentation including transmitters, control valves, field switches etc
