Managed Network Management Centre, leading a team of Engineers & Technicians for 24X7 Level 1 & Level 2 Infrastructure & Applications Support for Telecom Network
My duties and responsibilities include:
• Overseeing Full range of O&M activities, Vendor relationship management for 2nd and 3rd tier support
• Design and manage SOPs for operational processes, Fault management and providing leading Service restoration activities
• Testing & commissioning new Systems and Services. Ensuring smooth System Integration by coordination in the multi-operator integrated services environment.
• Major Achievements:
o Setting up WLL Support Centre: I established the centre with virtually zero cost, by using scrapped PC terminals, recruiting staff from “redundant pool”, training the staff, and delivering record number of inventory to exceed the targets. Thereby reducing the transportation costs, enhancing sales and same time after sales support by setting up NOC and Product Support.
o Crisis Management/Incident Management & Fault Reporting Centre: Assigned a project to control faults in “Chronic Areas”, the most problematic zones. Enhanced the performance of most centre from End to End 100 TTs per Day to “Zero Faults” within 2 months. Achieved by assigning clear duties and RACI Matrix; maintained record, established and enforced processes, thereby demonstrated clear cut improvements within two months.

TCP , QoS: DiffServ, IntServ Network Management : SNMP Network Programming Object-Oriented Middleware: CORBA, JAVA/RMI, Socket Programming Project Management During my career I worked as project manager on various System Installation, upgradation and expansion projects. In my job with PTCL in May 2001, I was assigned a project of Switching system Up gradation. I completed the project with minimum work force without any prior training of installation. The project was completed at a cost 10 times lesser than that quoted by the vendor(Alcatel). I received a letter of appreciation and honorarium for this.
