Responsible for operations of 660 MW ultra-supercritical coal fired power plant having GE’slignite
fired Ultra supercritical Tower type Boiler with beater wheels and Torishima’s BCP.
• Expertise of controlling and troubleshooting of Steam Turbines with regenerative Rankine cycles,
Centrifugal and Gear pumps, HX, radial and axial fans and other equipment related to BOP.
• Expertise of preparing SOP’s, punch lists and inspection reports related to plant operations.
• Well versed with control system of Emerson’s Ovation DCS version 3.7 and GE’s Mark VI.
• Capable of Supervision, training, development and management of the operations staff and
subordinates.

Operations Engineer at Powerchina Resources

Part of O&M team during erection, commissioning and operations phase of 2×2094T supercritical, π type, pulverized CFB by Doosan Babcock Boilers, 2×660 MW 4 cylinder, condensing LMW model Steam Turbines, 2x 825 MVA Water-H2-H2 cooled generators and other plant auxiliaries.
Key Responsibilities:.
• Commissioning and debugging of plant auxiliaries including Centrifugal Pumps, PD pumps, Air Compressors, static and variable pitch axial Fans, centrifugal type fans, Vacuum Pumps, Backup Diesel Generators.
• Ensure smooth running of all the plant auxiliaries including Boiler, Turbine and Electrical systems (500kV, 11kV, 400V).
• Coordinating with NPCC for sync, load dispatch and other activities like, preparing DAC, Hourly generation report.
• Implement the safety measures and appropriate isolation measures for equipments before putting to maintenance.
• Ensure the personal and equipment safety at the plant site and ensure EHS standards of company.
• Plant startup and shutdown operations in compliance with SOP’s through DCS and local controls.
• Supervision of maintenance of plant auxiliaries and ensuring the personal and equipment safety.
• Routine field inspection, monitoring of plant auxiliaries, accidents handling, recording abnormalities, maintaining log books and issuing operation and maintenance work tickets through MIS system.
• Ensure the smooth running of plant auxiliaries at optimum design parameters for best performance through co-ordination with chief Engr. and adjustment of controls from DCS and Local.
• Maintaining daily inspection log of plant parameters and studying the behavior of auxiliaries under different Environment conditions.
• Supervision and management of Unit’s operation team arranging field inspectors for local equipments update.




CHONGXIN POWER PLANT, PINGLIYANG, GANSU, CHINA.(2×660MW CPP)
Six months overseas technical professional training at 2×660 MW Supercritical coal fired power plant
for the operations and maintenance of Coal fired Power Plant with additional responsibility of management of 100 Pakistani engineers as squad leader.
• Extensively learned and mastered the P&ID’s of 660MW CPP unit along with line tracing and flows of steam, water, coal, air and oil systems.
• Successfully completed the DCS simulation training for 660 MW CPP unit.
• Carried out the operations for different types of startups and shutdowns from CC DCS system.
• Carried out the testing of interlock protection systems through forced triggering.
• Learned the control logics for auxiliaries startup, stoppage and tripping conditions.
