As Senior Manager I am the team lead to manage operation and maintenance of Core Switching Network as well as Access Network including more than 300 NEs comprising of Alcatel E-10B, Huawei HCTE, ZTE ZJX10, Siemens EWSD, ZTE OLTs, 100+ MSAGs in FTTC formation and ZTE NGN including one Soft Switch, nine MSG 9000 and 87 MSAG 5200. I am also looking after WLL core network including 01 Huawei MSC Csoft X3000, 02 BSCs and 100+ BTSs along with its microwave (DRS) system. I am also team lead for managing the power plant equipment of the entire region.

o Ensuring Maximum Network Availability.
o Ensuring Redundancy as per topology (ERPS, STPs, LACP, HSRP, VRRP)
o Supervising the Operation and Maintenance of NGN
o Migration of Voice services from circuit switching to packet switching (NGN)
o Migration of DSL and IPTV services from DSLAM to MSAGs (NGN)
o Auto Service Provisioning integration of voice and DSL services of NGN
o Subscriber administration, Database administration and traffic management of ZTE SS Multan
o Voice, DSL, IPTV and complete configurations of MSAGs ( Multi services access gateways)
o OFAN Integration (OLT, ONUs) in NGN
o GPON integration in NGN
• Provisional acceptance testing and Service Quality Testing of the newly installed equipment
• Triple play services (Voice, Data, Video) configurations and Troubleshooting
• Arranging resources for corrective maintenance for the field units.
• Controlling field units to achieve their KPIs.
• Leading the team responsible for technical evaluation in the tendering process.
• Providing Level II support to the field units for TDM switching and for NGN.
• Traffic analysis of TDM exchanges, ASR, CFR and take corrective measures
• Analyze TRGPs for MSAGs and DSLAMs to ensure proper bandwidth utilization.
• Planning preventive maintenance of switching and power plant equipment.
• Supervising of fuel topping activities ensuring maximum fuel saving
• Supervising of O&M activities relating to switching and power plant.
• Formulation of service level agreements (SLAs) with different vendors/suppliers
• Conducting SQT and PAT for the newly installed equipment in the company
• Managing a human resource of more than 230 members including 05 senior engineers, 30 engineers
• Monitoring alarms of 29 Alcatel E10B, 04 EWSD, 02 Huawei HCTE, 01 Huawei MSC, 02 BSCs and 360 WLL BTSs in the zone Configuration management of CDMA2000 base stations through MML and OSS scripts.
• Integration of CDMA2000 base stations to MSS, BSC, RNC and OSS using MML and XML scripts.
• Creation of Abis, MAP and SS7 links to integrate WLL MSC with BSCs, WIN and TDM switches.
• Execution of network optimization change requests from planning wing using MML and MACRO scripts.
• 24/7 Alarm monitoring, troubleshooting and escalations of TDM/NSS/BSS.
• Trouble ticket generation, follow-up and Coordination for switching alarms.
• Remote support for field operation and maintenance personnel.
• Daily health check of complete network.
• Provide technical expertise and support to NOC staff in doing fault management and configuration management activities of Switching Network.

• One of the pioneer in executing XATR/XATX file expansion in Alcatel E10 B exchanges
Duties/Responsibilities/Activities:
• Delivered lectures on Intelligent Network, OSI model, data communication to 180 newly inducted B.Sc. Engineers in 2002-2003
• Conducted full length course on mobile communication and GSM architecture to 180 newly inducted B.Sc. Engineers including RF planning, large scale and small scale propagation models/techniques, types of fading, Control Channel architecture, radio optimization, Core network dimensioning and mobile traffic analysis
• Conducted 3 week course on GSM to Supervisor Class
