Albonian was established in 1988 as the lifestyle retailer in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Since the establishment Albonian expanded over the western, central and eastern regions including a wide range of furniture lines from classic, modern to rattan and ethnic furniture
Working as Financial Accountant in the Company from almost a year. I had to work through all the Sales and it was my major Responsibility to post all the Sales to the respective Customers Accounts. I was also responsible for the payments to the suppliers whose due dates are near.
Other Major Responsibilities
Preparation, examination, analysis and review of financial statements including cash flows and financial statements.
Gained exposure and extensive knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards;
Analyze and interpret complex financial data, and extract relevant financial information for the purpose of projecting financial probability;
Liaise with external auditors during external audit of financial statements;
Performed analytical review of monthly and annual financial statements and addressing queries raised by the Senior Management.
Worked as Audit and Account Trainee in different industries exposed me to different environments this gave me a fair understanding of an organization’s operations. I audited and worked on different accounts and finance related assignments in manufacturing, services and financial sectors which include some big names like:
• Euro Foods, Peshawar
• Toyota Motors, Kasur
• Oxfam
• Service Group, Lahore
• Systems (Pvt) Limited, Lahore
• Central Park Medical College, Lahore
All aspects of client service for a portfolio of almost 10 companies in Advertising, Manufacturing, Food and Beverages, Non Profit Organizations, Services and Logistics industries etc.
• Reporting in accordance with the international standards and special instructions of the group auditors
• Obtaining an understanding of client’s business objectives and strategies in the context of industry and environment in which the client operates in order to identify strategic business risks
• Obtaining an understanding of the client’s processes for managing these business risks and reporting their impact in the financial statements
• Fee negotiations, billing and staff planning and multi- location coordination
• Review of work done by junior staff and providing support in resolving issues arising during work
• Conducting reviews of accounting systems process, internal controls and made recommendations to management.
I had the opportunity of performing in an excellent corporate environment, the following professional tasks in respect of different segments.
• Preparation of general ledger and trial balance
• Bank Reconciliation Statement
• Preparation and reconciliation of Accounts Receivable on daily and monthly basis and their Aging Analysis
• Assist with Payroll Administration
• Preparation and reconciliation of Accounts Payable on daily and monthly basis and their Aging Analysis
• Assist in daily and monthly cash flow statement and analysis of cash flow statement
