Job Description:
Planning and Organizing
• In coordination with the WHO-supported Union Council Polio Worker (UCPW), ensure communication and social mobilization planning is included in UC microplans of the highest quality.
• Identify UC-level activities for inclusion in District level communication plan and communicate to District Health Communication Support Officer (DHCSO)
• Identify IEC requirements and distribution plan and coordinate with necessary partners to ensure implementation
• Ensure influential religious leaders, elders, etc. are included in team micro-plans
• Assist in preparation of SM work plan and IEC activity plan for the respective areas.
• Ensure inclusion of SMs’ names in the UC micro-plan
• Participate in UPEC meetings and support development and implementation of UC social mobilization plan.
• Conduct initial and on-going listing and mapping of underserved communities and classification of these. Keep track of all children under 5, vaccination status, as well as migration patterns and practices
• In consultation with the Health Departmentand guidance from District Medical Officer (DMO) concerned, identify sub-UC High Risk Areas.
• Ensure effective communication on movement of high risk groups to UCOs/DHCSO/DMO in other districts where underserved groups are moving
• Support in micro planning, including determining best timings (flexible) for vaccination activities
• Ensure, through Medical Officer In Charge (MOIC)/DMO, that routine immunization services are made available to cover the high risk groups
• Coordinate with MOIC/DMO to assign vaccination teams for migrants/nomads/slums & congregations
Job Description:
• Working in close coordination with the District Community Development Department and Education Department to devise, implement and monitor a district plan for achieving the objectives of program and to establish Adult literacy centers
• Training of LCs and Local Area Supervisors.
• Coordination with the EDOs/ DEO Literacy and other Government Line Departments.
• Supervise establishment process of the ALCs
• Monitoring of literacy Centers, must visit 32 literacy centers per month (the visits must be planned in such a way that all literacy centers of all LAS should be visited on equal basis).
• Collection of data of literacy centers on M& E Standard formats from the LCs; forward it to the head office through District General Manager.
• Supervision of the process of identification of Local Supervisors, and Teachers.
• Supervise training of Teachers events, and maintain list of post teachers training evaluation status
Ensuring timely disbursement of finances to all stakeholders.
• Ensure Compilation of Data Base of the learners of the whole district in prescribed formats.
Ensure documentation
• Hold weekly meetings with all LCs
• Attend weekly meetings of LAS and LC
• Maintain progressive list of LLMs of each learner with specific weaknesses of each learner
Timely send requests for the books to the head office ( at least three months before the start of the literacy phase)
• Office Management as well as equipment and assets.

• Training of Literacy teachers for all three books
• Training of Local area supervisors on teaching methodology, SMP and Monitoring
• Coordination with EDO/DO Literacy and the other line departments Conduct 100%
• baseline assessment and final assessment of literacy centers Conduct 25% assessment of Book 1, Book 2 and Math
• Submission of final assessment report
• Preparation of weekly and monthly narrative report
